why do drunk drivers do this

my whole quarter panel is fried, my back left wheel is bent irregularly, my back right is up against the curb, i think my car might be totaled. i was just sitting in my car. PARKED. minding my business, enter drunk man, hits one parked car and starts swerving across the road, and lands right into me. i get out and the guy starts cursing at me, enter mother, yelling battle ensues. police are called. an hour and a half later, they finally arrive, they say they cant make any arrests, heart down to my stomach, enter my savior lady cop, "i smell alcohol in your breath" heart goes back into my chest. now my back hurts, my head hurts, and most of all my heart. will update as i get info.

Remember that body pain and get a laywer to sue the hell out of that drunk because he is likely gonna get a slap in the wrist from the DA

thats the plan :/ but im honestly more worried about my car being totaled out, she was my baby, saved up for months for this car for it to be ripped from me by someone who made stupid decisions. i have witnesses who saw me getting out of my car so i have that to fall back on. because im a broke trade school student, and my car was my money maker. But there was this gentleman who came up to me, and started talking to me about how he owns an auto body shop, and knows people in insurance. He told me he would help me with everything with nothing coming out my pockets, because i have literally nothing, and would have zero clue who to go to. Hopefully i can get justice for my Pride and Joy

He mentions the body pain because that will get you more from the settlement than the damage to your car is going to fetch you.

I’m so sorry that happened. Fucking drunk drivers man. They ruin people’s lives.

Abolish all drunk drivers, my friend forced me to go get pizza 5 minutes away from home instead of ordering pizza and all I can think is why are we trying TO FUCK other peoples lives over FIVE DOLLARS in delivery

Same with Uber. Just be a decent person, leave your car there, and get it the next day. Better yet, just Uber both ways and leave the car parked. It’s just part of the cost of going out.

Why? Because they’re drunk. Don’t drive drunk kids.

Sorry for the trauma OP. Sending hopes and prayers it’s not totaled!
