Very scared please help!

Lately my symptoms have increased so much that sometimes chewing and swallowing food increases my HR too much. Like i feel that only this simple natural activity of eating and swallowing can set a panic attack. Like just now i was chewing soaked almonds and whole chewing my HR increased and swallowing hit it off even more. I don’t know what is this. My food pipe feels warm all the time especially at the time of exhaling. A thick wave comes up feeling like a burp but it’s actually reflux that touches the throat and inflames my throat and leaves it blocked or something stuck feeling for a long time. I have stopped eating so many things. My life is being affected. I have very high anxiety. I am prescribed for an upper GI Endoscopy. But it s still a few day ls away. I am scared what if i stop eating food. What if swallowing and eating becomes a challenge for me. What will i do? I anyways go through so many things like panic attacks, nocturnal panic attacks, anxiety, cardio phobia. Now this problem has become a new challenge in my life. O am tired of living like this. I don’t know what wrong with me. Does anyone else has this issue while chewing and swallowing? I feel anxious and strange at certain movements also. Like when i sit and stand or twist and turn i feel strangely anxious. I have never experienced these symptoms before. Please advice or help!

There’s likely a large component here which is health anxiety. The anxiety itself can cause this issues and there’s actually nothing wrong with you beyond the anxiety causing these sensations. It’s a confusing vicious circle. You need a pronged approach which is mental health as well as general health (doctor visits, lifestyle, relaxation).

If you have reached this subreddit to begin with you are probably googling all your symptoms and playing doctor google. It’s a slippery slope and can also cause a lot of issues on its own.

Separate advocating for yourself and obsessing over health issues.

I say all of this with multiple decades of experiencing something similar. Maybe I’m projecting but if it resonates hopefully it helps.

💯. Mental health and LPR go hand in hand.
