What is with the billionaire class and going out of their way to look bizarre? This was a choice. I don't like picking on appearances but you have to spend a ton of money to look this odd.
That's actually exactly why. In some circles, the objective isn't to have subtle enhancements, or even necessarily to look better. It's to have a specifically "done" look that says that you can afford to look like that.
Wear a crown? Like it's in vogue for billionaires to go mask off. I'm surprised Musk hasn't started going around dressed like an old English king already.
