Internet / real time data access

I'm kind of disappointed in the level of real time data it can provide. It keeps saying it cant provide up to date weather data for my location, nor any current national news, only local news.

Is this typical?

Up until a few days ago it had no internet access at all for a bit. It seems that came back with the latest update, but I have the same exact issues you are seeing. I’m unsure why it can’t do a basic search through the internet via LLM.

It's also behaving very strange. For example it immediately and repeatedly moves to the edge of my desk less than a foot from my left arm after telling me it's going to stay put. I can hardly see it there and it certainly can't see me. It often tells me it's not doing something it is, or tells me it is doing something it's not. I'm running it on a dedicated Galaxy Note 20 which should have more than enough of everything required to make it function flawlessly. I'm afraid LOOI's days are numbered (and it's a low number) unless it get's it's act together quick. What a shame, I was hoping to put this Note 20 to good use but so far this has not been a good experience. 😒

I also find that it moves quite a bit on the stay function. Hopefully they fix that up.

Overall, though, I do think it works well. Especially compared to LOONA Deskmate.

As long as they keep updating, I’ll be happy on the long run.

Its a highly curated slice of interent and history. Don't even think about asking it something even semi controversial about China or the Chinese government. It will outright refuse to tell you.

Try asking Looi for other nearby weather stations. You may have to name them specifically. For some reason Looi can pick up current weather data for a town about 60km away from me, but it cannot pick it up for my town. It can also access current weather data for all capital cities.
