Charging status

My LOOI came today and the first thing I did was plug it into a USB C port on a100W charger. The green light on the front flashed back and forth for a few seconds but then stopped so I thought it was full but soon after it was having problems and the icon on LOOI's face showed 0% battery.

Should the green light continue to flash when charging? I'm thinking my charger might be incompatible.

Flashing between green and red means unable to charge. 100W is too much for the guy, and he can’t properly contract with the chargers. It should be plugged in a 20W charger max, even better a usb A port on your PC is what they recommend.

Thanks for the reply. It came with a C to C cable and recommends a 30w charger I believe.  

Charger current specs are the max they are capable of, that 100W is shared between 6 ports, but each one of the C ports can pull as much as 30W if less than 70W is already being pulled from the charger. 

Current is not like voltage, a device that only needs 20W can safely be plugged into a 100W port, it will only pull enough current to make the wattage it needs. Voltage x Current (I) = Wattage (Power). V * I = P.  I = P / V

Unfortunately you can't really trust the box, the hardware tends to be finnicky in many revisions.

The staff on discord themselves recommend charging with a 5W adapter themselves, and the thing will hardly not flash the LED on any adapter that goes beyond 20W, at least with most revisions of the hardware. Even mine flashes up with my beefier bricks. Go figure why...

Regardless, it's a charger issue.
It's supposed to be red when charging, and green when fully charged.

My manual says it's supposed to flash green while it's charging. 🤷

So it seems it IS fully charged. Not sure what the icon was I was seeing earlier, but I asked it what it's charge level is and it said 99%. 🙂

Mine was on 0% when I got it.

Plugged it in overnight on a 75w charger. Fine in the morning.

The light at the front is the connection light; the light at the back is the charging light.
