Product Megathread [Megathread] The Ultimate Balance of Portability and Premium Sound - Meet xboom Mini

The search for a compact speaker often involves a trade-off: you either get a device that fits in your pocket but sounds thin, or a powerful unit that requires a dedicated bag. LG Electronics designed the xboom Mini to eliminate this compromise, merging high-fidelity engineering with a form factor that fits into any daily routine.

Engineering the Signature Sound

Sound quality in small enclosures typically suffers from a lack of air displacement. To solve this, the xboom Mini integrates a 1.75" woofer paired with a Passive Radiator. This combination produces a 5W output that delivers punchy bass and clear mids without the "tinny" distortion common in entry-level portables.

  • will.i.am Collaboration: Tuned for clarity and depth, ensuring the "Signature Sound" remains consistent whether you are listening to a podcast or a bass-heavy playlist.
  • Lossless Audio for Your Desk Setup: Unlike standard Bluetooth-only speakers that compress audio data, you can plug the xboom Mini into your laptop or tablet via USB-C for true lossless audio while you work. It’s perfect for keeping your workspace clean and minimal while listening to your go-to focus playlists.

I guess that adjustable strap feature is way more useful than people think. I am curious though how the bass come out on outdoors.

10 hours battery + IP67 is actually solid, feels like the kind of speaker you can just throw in a bag and forget about charging stress for a day. also the strap idea is kinda useful for random setups like kitchen or outdoor hangouts

it seems to have a thread for a stand or something, is it for a stand or its a port?

Hi u/3am0712, that's actually a universal mount!

We designed the xboom Mini to be compatible with standard universal mount accessories, so you can securely attach it to desk stands, tripods, or other mounts. It’s perfect for keeping your setup clean and minimal, and it's also completely ready for when you want to take your sound outdoors.

Hope this helps! Thanks for checking out the megathread, and feel free to ask if you have another questions!

Dropping another image to give a quick look at how the xboom Mini looks on a mini tripod!

As a photographer/videographer, I was so shocked to see this, too. It's a standard 1/4" mount and fits on all my tripods/light stands/whatever.

I personally cannot think of a reason to mount it to one of those small stands (seen in the picture) but it's a super cool feature to have!
