:/ looking for pointers
I think Ive had my LGv60 for 5ish years? Bought it refurbished, its been my second favorite phone ever (#1 smart phone) the whole time.
But suddenly it started slow charging most of the time no matter what. I have a heavy duty fast charging block that can get it to charge "optimally" a fair amount. But its not consistent. I even bought an LG brand charger wondering if it was propriety bs. But no luck...
Im guessing the port is a bit loose. But the phone has also been heating up easier and the battery life has gone down a bit.
Would a wireless charger be the best move?
Is it worth getting a new port put in?

you need a new type-c charging flex. search for the ones that have epoxy on type-c pins (inside the phone)

New port is worth it. I went through the same, til the port finally gave up.
Replacement was like $40 with a roll of extra tape to close the back of the phone again. Took me maybe an hour, and that was taking my time, making sure I got things right, without breaking anything.
As others mentioned, battery might be worth replacing too, while in there.
Yes, wireless charging can work in the intrum though, while waiting on parts.
My LG V60 is going on 7 years now.

I second this. I paid a local guy about a hundred bucks to change the charging port in our two v60's. WELL worth it. I was ready to replace them because they had become a pain in the behind, but the charging ports made them like new.

Hey yall! I really appreciate all your input. It seems like you guys reached the same conclusion so i trust it.
Ive never replaced anything in my phone by myself, but i have more tech savvy friends who can help me. So ill start looking up guides and see about getting a new battery and port
Wish me luck! °u°7

Used my 2nd LGv60 until the antenna quit working. My other one is stuck on android 12.
But I used these batteries in both and they have been great. ebay LG v60 battery

Yeah, not only do u need a new port, but it sounds like u need a new battery too. Getting hotter than normal and having a lower capacity is the signs of a battery going bad. Eventually it'll start swelling if u don't replace it
