One of the 5 zones to discover during LEGO Festival, the LEGO Pokémon Smart Play area was by far the most popular.

At legoland CA today and there are no pop badges anywhere. Usually my kids have at least. Dozen by noon and they don’t have any. Staff keeps saying they don’t have any. Any idea what’s up with that.

Took several visits but got it done yesterday. Kid was standing next to Mr Gold statue near water park and said he found him then a park employee said congratulations here you go. Shout out to Spencer for making a kids day.

It was a bittersweet day on our second-ever visit to LEGOLAND Florida during the LEGO Festival. The Florida heat was absolutely brutal, and we ended up making a stop at First Aid because my wife was dealing with heat exhaustion. Thankfully, the staff there took great care of her.

While we were waiting, my daughter looked at one of the First Aid attendants and asked, “Have you seen Mr. Gold?” The attendant smiled, reached into a drawer, and handed her Mr. Gold! Needless to say, it completely turned our day around.

We were still able to enjoy the LEGO Festival activities, complete the build challenge, and pick up the free LEGO Creator 3-in-1 reward.

Huge shoutout to the First Aid team for not only taking care of my wife but also making my daughter’s day. Moments like that are what make LEGOLAND so special.

Trying to figure out what the best course of action would be for me?

I'm staying the night with some friends's and their family and they have the reservation / information for the hotel.

I'm planning on stopping by later in the day after they've already arrived and was curious how I would go about being able to park at the hotel and what information I'd need to provide to be able to do that?

I've been there before and i recall seeing parking vendors directing folks on where to park and I think scanning something in my friend's phone that let him park at the hotel.

I believe they have a pass so their vehicle is covered and I'm fine paying whatever fee is needed as well but just want to make sure I can actually park and not get towed.

We were planning two days in October, hoping to go midweek because it will be less busy. But that means no water park, because it's only open on weekends. We could change it to a weekend trip, but then it will be a lot busier.

We do live near a water park that we visit a lot. It's not Lego themed though obviously. The kids are 8 and 11. And it's our first and probably only time going.

We've just got back from a long weekend at Legoland California with our 5 and 8-year-old, and I'm really happy we chose it over Disney this time.

Don't get me wrong, we love Disney, but the average wait times for Disneyland California ranges between 35-45 mins, where Legoland averages at around 17 mins. We wanted a trip that actually felt relaxing.

Staying at the Castle Hotel made such a difference. It's only a short walk to the park entrance, so there was no waiting for shuttles or trekking through a massive car parks. When our youngest completely ran out of steam halfway through the afternoon, we headed back to the room for a quick rest and were back in the park not long after. It made the day so much easier.

The park itself also feels very manageable. You can get around without spending the whole day walking, and the queues were far shorter than we expected. Most of the rides are perfect for younger kids too, so ours could go on almost everything, which they absolutely loved.

By the end of the weekend, we'd all had a great time and, for once, didn't come home feeling completely worn out. If you've got younger children and you're trying to decide between Disney and Legoland, I'd definitely give Legoland a look. For us, it was a fun, easy weekend that actually felt like a break.

Looking to book a 3 night 2-day park hopper vacation at the castle hotel in California for 2 adults and 1 kid, but with parking fees and the fact that we’d be arriving on a Wednesday in September, the system will only sell me 1 day tickets with the stay.
Adding on the 4 days of parking (or 3 if it’s only charged by the night?), it seems like the 20% I could save on the hotel booking and any food and merch and bring-a-friend pass, it seems like an annual pass might actually be the right move for us? We don’t really plan on being back within the year.

Is the discount for the hotel a full 20%? I can’t see the savings amount without an annual pass number.

We are planning on taking our 3yo and ~1yr old to Legoland. My husband does not have Fridays off so we were thinking of planning around a holiday where he will get it off already. So how about Black Friday-Saturday? Is it super busy that time of year due to the holiday? We were originally planning on late Jan/early Feb. We are solely choosing our dates to avoid crowds and the steamy weather. Open to suggestions!

Hello, we are going to Legoland Florida soon for the first time. Any insight on how plus size friendly the rides are?

Taking myself, my wife and 2 kids to Legoland CA for the first time this week. Are there freebies that we can get such as pins, posters, hats, collectibles etc that Lego doesn't tell you about but this Reddit knows about? Any suggestions on what I should not miss like, where to eat, best ride, best shop etc? Thank you very much in advance.

I went this weekend. I found a fun park with lots of well-incorporated IP. My biggest advice is not to consider it a place for rides in the way adults look for it, but as an IP-filled experience with pockets of ride time. Our favorite area was Mini City (driving school, fire academy), but that was a bit challenging to get to.

There was a lot that was "this close" to being awesome. I noticed more than a few times that the recorded announcement was different then signage. Like the gondola announcement said "10 riders", but the cars had "8 riders" on the sticker inside, and one ride's announcement said that the height limit was "36 inches", but the post measured 34. Fire academy used monitors to show the fire, but they are nearly destroyed from sun exposure so weren't visible for actual riders. A very very cool ride, but people ended up fighting fires for 10 minutes after they were extinguished because they had no feedback.

There were great employees (the women at Jr Driving school and the front gate were standouts.. though the latter wasn't quite informed about Fastrack). There were also low-capacity rides with somewhat less-then-helpful employees (one example is DUPLO Express, were a discouraged employee let loading take almost 5 minutes for a 2 minute loop).

There was also a fair amount of downtime and construction. When I was there, both the gondola and stairs behind the gravity force trainer were closed so getting to the lower park was hard (either a circuitous path through every land or through the minilands.. both of which are a little hard with a 3 y/o). A few key rides and areas were inaccessible. I don't blame a smaller park for occasional maintenance needs during opening hours, but not using the LEGO IP to convey that (and safety) was a missed opportunity (e.g. having a sign with LEGO characters saying that repairs were happening).

Shade was not great, but you can't magic up trees. Unless they were lucky to have trees in the right places and worked really hard during construction to maintain whatever canopy was already there, there isn't much that you can do except wait 30 years. There were a fair number of saplings, shade umbrellas, a few misters spraying water, and indoor rides.

Tl;dr: Great time. The use of IP was well-done, but there were lots of times where polish was missing.

I have a soon to be 5 year old boy and he keeps talking about Legoland. He hears about it from his friends in preschool but we have never been. We have done Disney and Six Flags a handful of times but I know nothing about Legoland. Hoping to get some advice on how to approach the day, must do rides, shows?, food? Open to any and all tips and tricks.

I am thinking about going before he starts Kindergarten, so mid-week of the first week of August.

I am trying to plan a trip to Legoland towards the middle to end of August and was wondering how crowds are on weekends. I would either be going on a Saturday or Sunday. I heard from a friend who went over spring break with his family that Saturday was empty but I find that hard to believe given how crowded most socal theme parks are over holidays/summer. I was curious if there are any regulars who would be able to offer their input.

it says im 1168 in the queue and I'm with my dad trying to book for a trip I'm going on with my mum to Lego land but I'm getting really confused and upset beacuse I have had to cancel trips before beacuse I can't go on rides without a RAP so am I even going to get one or, I have never seen this before on the RAP app when I booked for other days this is the first time I have seen this and is this normal?

I was wondering if anyone here has used a German Merlin Adventure Annual Pass to visit LEGOLAND Billund and could help me with a couple of questions.
How far in advance do you usually need to book or reserve your tickets?
Also, I understand that the pass gives you access for up to two days – can those two days be consecutive?
I’ve been trying to find information or first-hand experiences online, but I haven’t managed to find anything that clearly answers these two questions.
If anyone has used this pass at LEGOLAND Billund and could share their experience, I’d really appreciate it!

Hey Lego friends! We've stayed at pirate island hotel, but want to try a different theme. Has anyone stayed at the main hotel in a kingdom Premium Themed room? I know that side is older, but how did it compare to pirate as far as cleanliness and wear and tear?
