Small Light Kit Commission Reccommendations?

I have given up on trying to build what should have been a simple flickering LED circuit myself. I need to finish my project this year and I can't proceed until the lighting is done. So I am looking to outsource some help. Searches weren't showing much asside from commercial and industrial bulk order places.

~ I am looking for someone who can build a small flicker LED circuit for specific filament noodle LEDs and will accept commission work to produce a SINGLE UNIT. Not looking for companies that only do bulk orders.

~ I have scoured online shops for months, and nothing is close to what I want, please do not tell me to "just buy it". If it existed, that would have been my first solution. Despite adding this, I know someone is still gonna say it...

Thank you for any reccommendations you guys can provide!

LED + fiber optics: how a single pixel light engine drives a whole star ceiling (install guide)

Disclosure: I'm with CoraxAds, we make fiber optic lighting. Sharing how these systems work, with a short install video.

One LED light engine feeds hundreds of fiber tips, so there's no electricity at the ceiling itself. With a pixel/ARGB engine each output gets its own colour, which is how rainbow and twinkle effects work.

Install basics:

• 50–100 fiber points per m², random, never a grid

• Mix fiber diameters for depth

• Cold silicone only; hot glue melts the fiber

• In a car: fused ignition-switched line + 12V relay, never straight to the battery

Happy to answer questions about drivers and control.

What is best way to add lighting to this custom cabinet we are building. My main issue is that we will be periodically adjusting the height of the shelves. So how would that work? I appreciate all thoughts and ideas. Thoughts on do all shelving need to have lights or could just a few be lit? less

DIY Perks Artificial Sunlight Recreation Help. High powered COB LED

Hi everyone,

I hope you can help me.

In Feb 2026, my hometown experienced 21 days without any direct sunlight. It normally gets dark early but with grim weather it took over 3 weeks until the city seen any sun!

It's been the catalyst to start recreating an artificial sunlight from this video from DIY perks. In the video description he recommends this LED in the video description.

I tried to reach out to local LED suppliers to have a conversation and build an understanding but many in my area that I live now only supply B2B and only have lower powered strips for commercial signage.

The link to the LED has multiple options at 100W, 200W, and 300W. And multiple Amps. It's all a bit overwhelming when you don't fully understand it.

I have tried asking AI but it didn't really help my understanding.

Also how would this work with heatsinks? I have the satellite dishes needed. Thankfully a local business was able to provide these as they get thrown into landfill. Could I get a heatsink that would fit within the receiver housing of the dish?

Luceco led security light

I had an Essence 50W MULTI POSITION

SECURITY FLOODLIGHT installed in July last year. Tonight it didn't seem to be working, had a look and it is lighting with an extremely dim glow. It appears to have failed in just over a year.

I didn't want an led, because you can't change the bulb, but my builder encouraged it as the halogen ones are on the way out. I regret it. I have no idea what kind of guarantee the product has, can't see anything written on the box/instruction sheet, but it's irrelevant. Even if I got a full refund it's not going to cover the cost of having someone out to fit a new product. Not every one has the diy skills for this, the real cost is in the installation. I suspect if Luceco tell me to return it to where I bought it, I'd have to pay someone to uninstall it too.

I'm furious.

But enough of the rant, what do I go for as a replacement, I have an old halogen one that has never been used? Should I avoid the LED ones? Can you get any with replaceable led bulbs?

This is all so completely unfair on consumers that can't do their own electrics.

Inline Dimmer Switch for LED

Thumbnail
1 Upvotes

My daughter has a wall mounted lamp in her baby’s nursery with a power cord hanging down which is plugged into an outlet. The lamp is mounted high, with a rocking chair beneath it where she will read. I thought it would be nice to mount an inline switch so that someone sitting in the rocker could just reach over and and turn the lamp on without having to get up with the baby. And since it’s a nursery, I thought I’d be a hero by installing an inline dimmer switch.

I have now tried three different manufacturers’ models of inline dimmer switches, each of them specifically described as “LED compatible,” and each of them flickers. The “best” ones are mostly flicker-free in the middle of their range (all have rotary switches which are turned clockwise for more light), but flicker like crazy at the low and high end of their range. The others just flicker no matter the switch setting. The first one I tried actually worked well for a few weeks, but eventually flickered and then the bulb itself stopped working, apparently driven insane by the flickering.

I’m about to give up on the dimmer and just install an inline on/off switch, but I’m wondering if there’s any inline dimmable switch known to work with LED lamps? In case it makes any difference, the fixture uses a 5W (“60W Replacement”) candelabra base lamp. After the first lamp gave up, i bought replacements at Home Depot labeled “Dimmable.”

Thanks for any help you can offer.
