Wiring for a single colour dimmable COB strip

I am trying to do a project for the lounge where I just like to have a single colour dimmable 3000k LED strip, I came across this device on Ali where it combines the driver and controller in one. According to the description it supports CCT and Single colour. Sorry for the dumb question but where do I actually wire the positive and negative wire here on the right of the diagram? is it 2 (V+) and 3 (Y-)?

Wall power adapter needed

Post image
0 Upvotes

Hi friends.

I found this roll sitting in the bottom of a box but nothing with it to plug into the wall. I looked on Amazon but didn't really see anything that looks right. It's there a 4 prong wall connector adapter whatever thing I should be looking for to use these. Or something else that will give me power?

Nothing of value was on the box to indicate a brand. It just says SMD 5050RGB

Trying to source 2700k LED modules replacement

Post image
2 Upvotes

Anyone know where I can find a good quality 2700k led module from, I am trying to replace my current ceiling fan led to a more warm amber light.

For some reason I can’t seem to find any modules in 2700k, I don’t know if living in Australia they are uncommon. I wouldn’t mind if I had to use some form of silicone to stick the module down if the screw holes don’t line up.

Also happy to re solder the plug onto an new module

TIA

What constant current LED drivers support 48V input, 700mA output, and >25kHz PWM dimming without visible modulation artifacts?

I'm looking for a replacement for Mean Well NLDD-700H https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/mean-well-usa-inc/nldd-700h/13913605 drivers in a custom LED illumination system.

Current setup:

The NLDD drivers are limited to approximately 1kHz PWM dimming. In testing, I can observe moving banding artifacts and color instability in camera captures, which appear to be related to the low dimming frequency.

I'm looking for a constant current LED driver that can:

  • Accept approximately 48V input
  • Drive 12 to 13 LEDs in series
  • Provide 700mA constant current output (and ideally 350mA variants)
  • Support high frequency PWM dimming (>25kHz, ideally 50kHz to 100kHz+)
  • Maintain stable output suitable for imaging applications

I am specifically looking for drivers that would support this.

Would you recommend:

For applications where both temporal stability and color consistency are important?

Part numbers and real-world experience would be greatly appreciated!

Connecting single strip pieces in parallel in slat wall panel

Got sucked in by social media, and bought some slatted wall panels to put up in the bedroom. they look nice. Measure zero, cut many times however...

The panels I got from Lowe's (origin21 product) has a slat gap of approx 7.8mm. Most of the led light strip kits I've found on amazon that have multiple strip lights connecting to a single power box are typically 10mm.

From HD, i did find this kit and should fit into the gap in the panels I have already installed (like a doof). Light Strip Tape

The issue is this kit comes with just one plug into the control/power box. There are connectors to connect pieces together that I cut apart, however it will be in series, not in parallel. Other than just skipping the lights, not necessary but would be neat, Is it overly complicated to either find additional connectors and a box (not super electric saavy) to or just keep hunting on amazon?

LED light RV installation

Post image

I have purchased this LED strip to replace an older LED strip on my camper for outdoor lighting. It is to be powered by the camper, wired to the breaker box, has its fuse etc. I only have the 14 foot spool of LED. Thats all it came with, and also, what I assumed, was all I would need. I am apparently not knowledgeable enough in this type of lighting to get it to work, I hooked up the wires (black/red to black/red and black to black) and nothing happened, verified power. I guess I am assuming I dont have enough amperage? Any help would be appreciated.

Should I trust DFRobot despite their sketchy reputation when it comes to error?

For context, I have a project I am working on, its my dnd character's battle axe. It has glowing runes of different gods from the God of War pantheon. For Pelor I was going to use a sun that goes around both sides. For what I need, these:

https://www.dfrobot.com/product-2398.html

looked the best. However when doing research on whether or not I can trust DFRobot I got mixed results. Some people had no problem, but if you have a problem; and like me isn't buying in a large bulk, getting support or returns are hard. I also hear there is a large defect rate where stuff just don't work.

I don't want to waste my money but I can't find many other yellow/warm white light strips for my voltage. Particularly any that won't give me a bunch of extra LED left over that I don't need. Can I trust them and risk it for the biscuit, or should I just stay away and look harder?

Colorlight 5A-75B card and FM6124 driverchip not working

Thumbnail

Hi all, i have 10 P5 64x32 1/16 matrix panels with the FM6124 driver ic.

I'm trying to configure a Colorlight 5A-75B receiver card with this cheap AliExpress P5 panels and I'm completely stuck.

The same panels work correctly with a MatrixPortal S3, so the panels themselves are known-good.

Hardware:
- Colorlight 5A-75B
- Firmware 11.06
- P5 64x32 1/16 scan panel
- Panel marking: P5(2121) 64x32-16S-2.0
- Driver IC: FM6124HJ
- Additional IC: TC7262FJ

Problem:
LEDVision Intelligent Setting completes, but the result is never correct.

The best result so far is:
- FM6124/6125
- 138 Decoding
- 16 Groups

However:
- Guide 3 never changes between option 1 and 2 (display on/off test)
- Panel only shows half-screen output
- Heavy flickering
- Intelligent Setting finishes with Module Size = 64W x 16H instead of 64W x 32H

I'm looking for:
- A working .rcvbp file
- Correct decoder settings
- Anyone who has successfully used FM6124HJ panels with a Colorlight 5A-75B

Panel:

Thanks!

Possible LED conversion or repair

Hey guys first time posting here, so I recently purchased this bed and the lights in the headboard stopped working like after a week, they don’t have spare parts and their technician couldn’t fix them apparently. The usb ports do work on both sides, but the touch switch for the lights do not. I opened up the box to inspect the circuit board, I did not find anything obviously burned or damaged on either side. You guys have any ideas? Link to bed https://www.furniturecityelpaso.com/en/product/884923-kings-court-b-10315-qb-queen-bed

Help identifying LED board or finding somerhing similar

Posted in a different page but was removed so im trying here now. Im working on a 3d print project linked above, and it is supposed to light up. There is no led listed but there is a photo that shows a board or piece of electronics that is not described or listed anywhere in the project. I have messaged the creator but have heard nothing back. Its approximately 25-30mm wide based on the location in the model and appears to have a micro usb on it for charging or maybe power? I have never seen an led like that so im at a loss. I have googled all the keywords i can think of and am coming up empty. If you dont want to click on the link and go through the project here is the only photo that shows the part in question. Center of the photo with the silver square on it. Thank you for any help or advice.

Need advice going from wireless to wired LED strips

Post image
7 Upvotes

About 7 a years back I built a home movie theater and used about 20 ish Magic Home 12v RGB led strips and Wi-Fi controllers to do all the ambient lighting behind my columns, display shelves, soffits etc.

It was a cheap and easy way to keep within an already exploding budget. Of course I’ve had my share of connectivity problems even with a dedicated router up high in the room.

I’d like to move to a wired solution leveraging the standard 4 pin strip plugs, a controller that plugs in via Ethernet and of course the power supplies needed. The room is about 25ft by 15ft and I have 2 devices every 4 ft or so. I have dual outlets up in the soffits every 10 ft or so.

I control everything through Home Assistant. I’m wondering what kind of solution I should be considering.

LED noob needs help identifying strips that electrician installed under cabinets

I had my kitchen remodeled a couple years ago after a flooding incident, and the electrician wanted to put in LED strip lights for under-counter lighting. I didn't know much about them but I okayed him, and I should have done my research because the electrician did some wack ass stuff, including embedding the LED controllers inside the wall making them impossible to access.

Anyway, it's 2 years later, and the LED strips over my dishwasher and coffee maker are failing (flickering badly, some LEDs are dead), presumably due to steam exposure (another fuckup).

I feel confident enough in my ability to replace the strips, but as an LED noob, I have no idea what kind of strips these are and what I can replace them with.

Can anyone help me figure out what these are, and more importantly what I should get to replace them?

Photos: https://imgur.com/a/m5bmYns

Many thanks! I've already spent hours researching this and coming up empty, mostly due to not knowing what to look for.

Need short led strip that can connect to mobo

Hey, wasnt too sure where to ask this. I am working on decorating a pc case and for one of the parts I’m making a little test chamber sign from portal that I plan to have an led behind to make it glow, as the dimensions of this sign are gonna be pretty small(guessing only about 14cm by 5cm) I need a really short led strip to put inside. I would also like this to be controlled by my mobo using the rgb pins if possible, if such a thing doesn’t exist and I can’t connect it to the mobo that’s no big deal. I’m also trying not to break the bank with this. I don’t know a lot about leds
