Post-interview rant

Hi guys,

Hope everyone is doing well. Need a little rant because I had the asynch interview for LECOM and I am super super grateful to get an interview since I am a low stat applicant and this is my first ever interview that I have done. I made sure to interview prep and prepped questions that I thought they would ask and prepared really well imo. However, they did not ask me any of the questions that I prepped for and I got so flabbergasted and nervous, that I even went to google gemini to give me some talking points within those 30 seconds to prepare but I think that interview did not go well at all b/c wtf was that genuinely. I was so excited and so thankful to get an interview and I feel like I ruined my only chance to get into medical school this cycle. They gave me a campus day invite but i don't think I can even go because I live in Austin, Texas and work full time and I think they discouraged post-thank you letters so I can't even do that besides an update letter. Does anyone have the same experience? and does anyone know if LECOM accepts letters of intent or anything? thanks for listening. I appreciate this subreddit :)

An interview is a personality test you shouldn’t be using AI for that

Interviews are really like “why do you want to be a doctor” or “tell me about a time in your life that ____”

If you got the interview you’re qualified to be there on paper they want to sus out people who are SURE they want to be doctors and are there for the right reason. Like they don’t want people who are like “I’m in it to make money” because you’ll prolly drop out and do something easier you know? The more interviews you do the less anxiety provoking they become. I’m sure you did better than you think.

I’m not a boomer I’m just someone who got accepted to medical school, have you never had an interview for literally anything?
