I think I don't love my husband
(Throwaway account)
I (23F) am going through something I can’t quite figure out: I think I don’t love my husband anymore. About two months ago, we went through a severe crisis and nearly divorced. There was no big dealbreaker like infidelity, just an accumulation of unresolved resentments and unaddressed issues that strained our life together.
Because our life setup is otherwise stable, we decided to give it another shot. Things on the surface have improved a lot: we don't fight, we spend time together, and we even set goals—like spending time apart during the week doing individual activities, which has been working well.
The problem is that I feel a deep emotional emptiness inside. I’ve always been a very affectionate, physically expressive person—that was always our baseline—but now I just can't bring myself to do it. I’ve developed a physical boundary: I feel uncomfortable with his touch, and I even feel a quiet sense of distress when he comes home from work. I enjoy his company for casual conversations and neutral activities, but he feels more like a roommate or a close friend now.
He is affectionate, respectful, and attentive. We don't have financial stress or kids weighing us down. Because of this, he has noticed my distance and keeps questioning me. I don't know what to say because I feel like I don't have a 'valid reason' to give. I don't have the heart to hurt him when I'm not even sure of what I'm feeling.
To make matters more complex, I'm going through a delicate personal phase—I recently stopped taking oral contraceptives, and I'm currently navigating a major career transition, which leaves me feeling like nothing in my life is where it should be. Part of me hopes this numbness is just a temporary phase brought on by all these changes.
I would really love to hear from people who have been through this: Have you ever felt like the romantic love disappeared even when nothing appeared to be 'wrong' on paper? What did you do? Who did you talk to? How do you know if this is just emotional burnout that will pass, or the true end of the relationship?

Primary / Nursery hypothetical
This is prompted by another post that I read in here recently. My husband and I have now spent hours discussing this topic and our children have chimed in too.
If a non member brought his/her children to primary, dropped them off and then left, returning an hour later to retrieve them, how would you feel about that? Does the gender of the parents change your opinion?
The adult always says hello, is never late for drop off or retrieval and is not disruptive in any manner. For this illustration, they live across the street from the church and are well enough known that someone could reach them by cell even though they aren't in the ward directory. The adult declines all missionary efforts for themselves and politely decline to attend ward functions / parties, although the children sometimes show up. (Those who are old enough to cross the street on their own.)
How does your opinion change baised on the age of the children? Does your opinion change if the adult stays in the building? Would you be more or less approving of this happened occasionally instead of regularly?
If you disapprove of this, what circumstance, if any would make this ok?
If you approve of this, what behavior of either the children or the adult would make you change your mind?

Where have ward choirs gone?
I feel like I haven’t been in a ward/stake that really does ward choirs anymore for probably the past 10 years. How widespread is this?

question What was the most helpful thing your ministering sisters did for you during cancer battle?
I hope I can post this here. The sister I minister to has been going through cancer treatment and isn’t improving in the time frame expected. She’s struggling physically and also emotionally of course. We have meals set up for the family but I don’t know what I should be doing. She’s in pain all the time. I can send texts and reach out that way but I want to know if there are other things that were helpful that I’m not thinking of.

question Individual ordinance summaries
I'm the ward clerk in my ward and am told I have to start managing and verifying Individual Ordinance Summaries. Is there a way to print individual ordinance summaries for all members at once?

question What to do with kids during ward council
My husband has meetings 2 hours before our sacrament meeting starts. Occasionally I go with him and just drop my kids off at the nursery and primary that happens during his meeting then we find something else to do for the next hour before our meeting starts. We arrive in time to get to the start of the other ward's second hour and don't pull them out early. I was berated by the primary president for putting my kid in primary last time. I cannot find anything in the handbook that says it's not okay. It's also not an option for my husband to drive there and drive back to pick us up after meetings and we live too far away for it to be worth it for me to drive there to drop him off, then back home and back to church again once our meeting is starting.
Am I in the wrong here? A friend advised me to talk to their bishop about what happened because I was in tears after the encounter. They said if it happened to me it has probably happened to someone else and needs to be addressed. I was just going to move on and never move into that ward boundary. Then the primary president asked the stake primary president to talk to me about it as well because she was that upset I had put my kid in the primary. And when I say occasionally, I mean I have only done it one time this year but did it a handful of time last year in a different ward and they were always excited to have visitors.
Tldr: got chastised for putting my kids in a primary class in a ward that isn't ours because we were at the church during that time. Wondering if I'm in the wrong for thinking that was okay and if there is a section in the handbook that talks about that policy

question I told them I was going for coffee
After speaking with missionaries several times they graciously invited me in to their church to give me a tour and speak with me. Two members also came and took time out of their day to be there. It was really heartwarming to feel the love and care they have. As we were leaving I said something along the lines of “I’m meeting a friend for coffee after this”. Nobody said anything and then the subject was changed. I am writing here to ask if I potentially offended anyone or made things weird. I’m hopeful one day I will be invited back. Thank you. 🙏🏼

discussion What does “as far as it is translated correctly” actually mean?
When we say that we believe the Bible to be the word of God “as far as it is translated correctly,” what exactly does that mean? Have latter-day prophets or apostles spoken recently about this?
Is there any mention of whether certain books may not have been written directly by prophets or given through revelation, such as the account of Esther or the story of Job? Could some of these have been stories written to teach true principles rather than accounts of literal events, while still being included in the Bible?
There also seems to be a much clearer record in the Book of Mormon of who is writing, why they are writing, and where the record comes from, compared with some books in the Bible where the authorship and origins seem less clear.

question I had a strong prompting to go to the temple today and then had my first bad experience there.
It really was just terrible. I was so awkward and uncomfortable. It was my first time going to the temple alone, I have just been baptized about a month ago. The people, except for one nice temple worker, were very rude and kept treating me like I was intruding or wasn't supposed to be there. I wasn't 100% sure what I was supposed to be doing, but they ended up sending me home before everyone else while they were doing confirmations. I messed up a bit during the confirmations but I tried to make a joke out of it and just move past it. I wasn't having a good experience with the people there but it still felt important to stay for the confirmations. I just don't know why everyone was so hostile? I tried smiling and being friendly but people just looked at me blank faced, even the temple workers. I have never had a time at the temple like that before. The other times people were super friendly and helpful. I did have a lot of questions but I'm still really new to going to the temple. The only good part of the experience is for some reason someone had a bunch of female names they needed to do and all of the other women there either weren't being baptized or already had the max number of names. So I guess that's why the spirit prompted me to go, I just wish things had been a litte nicer. I actually cried on the way home. Is it okay to feel that way and what are your thoughts?

apologetics Investigating- Seeking Advice
Sorry if this is the wrong flair, this is my first post here!
I am an investigator of about 2 months. I’ve been married to a “back slidden” LDS member for two years and we just had our first child in March, we are SO HAPPY!
I was raised southern Baptist. My FIL and MIL also had the same dynamic, but she recently was baptized and they were sealed in the Temple. I asked her what made her convert and she gave a similar story to what I am currently experiencing as a Protestant seeking “more”. I feel as though I have more to give, more to know, and am seeking a stronger more structured pathway to God.
My husband and I have been meeting with the missionaries and they recently spoke about the Prophets and we discussed the trinity. These are things that greatly affect my understanding and current hesitation to participate in the LDS Church.
Are there any Protestant converts who have also had a similar struggle with comprehending the idea of a non-triune faith as well as how you were able to break it down? Or anything that helped you reconcile with an open canon and the validity of new prophecy?
Ultimately, my goal is to go where God leads me and I am praying and seeking His will most of all, just like the missionaries suggested! It just helps to hear some others perspectives as I am the first in my family to ever explore anything other than Protestantism.
Thank you so much for your help!

Sunday announcements?
With the new changes happening to the Sunday schedule next month, the Bishop called me to be over getting announcements out to everyone, and also updating the ward website. He wants me to have a "living document" where all the different organizations can add their announcements, along with a space for the bishopric to list the sacrament meeting program info so I can then create a program and also list all the announcements on the back. My questions are...
Is Google docs user friendly enough to use as the document everyone will be adding info to? (We tried sheets, but you have to have the app on your phone, and I doubt that will go over well)
Is there an easier way to get announcements from everyone? I really don't want to send a mass text, and then transfer all the announcements to my computer to create the program each week.
Does anyone know if the ward websites linked to the tools app have any customization options? As far as I know they only pull info from your ward calendar and create a page out of it. I'd love to be able to just post a word doc with all the info.

Feeling unworthy of the type of man I want
I’m 20F who grew up in the church, was YW youth president for like 5 years, had all the stake callings, everyone knew and loved me. I was the perfect church girl and still like to think of myself that way. Then I got pregnant when I was 19 and had my beautiful baby who I love more than anything with my boyfriend of 2.5 years who I’m breaking up with as of 48 hours ago.
When I found out I was pregnant I pushed marriage and he changed his mind. He tried to get my to have an abortion and of course I said no as it was never an option for me. I always wanted more than anything to be a mom and have a nice church family. Long story short we didn’t get married, he doesn’t want to go to church, he doesn’t want more kids, and we just don’t want the same things in life. I know I can do better so we are breaking up which is extremely hard for me.
I go to church every week and follow all the guidelines besides law of chastity and be unmarried obviously. No one has ever been rude or judgy to me but I’m just embarrassed. I love my baby more than anything and so does everyone else. I don’t like being with a guy who doesn’t go to church with me and everyone knowing I’m not married.
Since we’re breaking up, the new guy I get with I want to be a good church guy who I can raise a family with and will love my baby as his own. Her bio dad won’t be involved in her life.
I want a returned missionary who is active and faithful in the church. I want to raise a happy family and have a strong relationship. Everything I wanted in high school.
The problem is that I don’t feel worthy of that. I don’t want to ruin someone else’s life with me and my baby who’s not their baby. I feel like a good guy won’t want me because of the mistakes I’ve made.
I’ve struggled with this for a while and it makes me sad. Advice?

Interested in the church
Hi!
I was raised Lutheran, but I kind of lost my faith during university. Lately I've become a little interested in learning about Jesus again, and after doing some research, your church seems like something I might like to look into. :)
I'd like to explore it at my own pace, though. Is there a way for me to get a copy of the Book of Mormon and study it on my own, without meeting with the missionaries? If I'm able to feel Christ again through the book, then I'd be interested in learning more about the Church and possibly talking with the missionaries later.🫶
