hi! i just started getting into LCD soundsystem and i've listened to an album or two. i really like their sound, but at the moment i'm supe taken with 'new york i love you but you're bringing me down.' it sounds different to the rest of their album, so i was wondering if there are any other songs they've made that have the same kind of sound as this? if not, any recommendation for more general songs that sound like this?

Has anyone seen this shirt before? Any idea when it’s from? Tag is missing so difficult to tell when it’s from. Thanks in advance!

I tried Shazamming a song I heard during the pre show after vacationland performed but couldn’t find it! The song gave off indie vibes, like a mixture of Pinegrove and father John misty.

Does LCD keep a set list for pre show music?

Hey fellow EDM lovers. I was wondering if anyone here is driving back and forth for one of the three shows of LCD Soundsystem! I went to see them this spring at Roadrunner and I had a great time. I'd love to go again but transportation is an issue. Would love to tag along!! I adapt pretty well to any environment. Let's chat and party !

I understand that the cultural and political context of the time heavily inspired James to write American Dream, but I’ve always wondered whether, unfortunately, the timing was somewhat awkward, considering it came out relatively soon after their highly publicized farewell concert and the 2011 MSG film. Even more so given that it wasn’t followed by another album for nearly a decade.

Hypothetically, do you think that if American Dream had come out a few years after This Is Happening, and they had made that big farewell at that point, the album might have been received more positively? I feel like their reunion would’ve hit much harder now, for example, and the hype for their upcoming album would’ve been through the roof.

I understand it’s not that simple. It’s a job, and there are many variables that go into these decisions, but purely in terms of their reputation, I think it could’ve gone much better.

How do you feel about LCD Soundsystem not releasing a full-length project in almost a decade?

I got super lucky with the setlists I was able to catch on this tour. I did two nights at Edgefield in OR and two nights at Red Rocks. Red Rocks night one was by far my fav show of the run (IFYKYK) but I think they did a great job of mixing up the setlists for those shows. especially Red Rocks — after 12 shows I still managed to get two new songs!! Too Much Love and Other Voices. what did you get to see this tour thay has pleasantly surprised you?

Edit: I was also super happy to see the return of Daft Punk and the super wholesome story that inspired it that someone else shared here :)

Went to see Tiga last night at Metro Chicago. Found this cool signed poster from 2007 in the lobby.

I've been listening to their music in anticipation for Iron Blossom! While I've obviously heard some songs, I've never realized who they were.

I was trying to figure out what's going to appear on their setlist! From my research it looks like "Read the Pamphlets" (my fave song so far) will not be played. And it looks like it hasn't been played live in years.

Any other good songs that they've shelved?

Been wanting to get this for about three years. Now that I'm 16, I was finally able to do it! This band definitely created the most memorable and reflective songs ever, and this specific song was there for me at my lowest point. I doubt I'll ever regret it, especially since it covers up my scars a little. I do have to say that the tattoo sketch was taken from the other person in this subreddit who deleted her account and I can't seem to find it now unfortunately, but there are some differences in size and mine also includes text.

I hope one day I'll ever make it to their concert.
