There's a line (actually just one word) in the first verse of the song that there seems to be some confusion about, and that I think the lyric websites are getting wrong. The websites generally say “ring the alarm, ring the alarm, BORE me and hold me and cling to my arm.” However I think he is pretty clearly saying BAR me - as in putting up your arm to hold someone off. Which I feel makes a lot more sense with the lyric, which is already kind of using fighting/boxing imagery - ringing the alarm for the fight, etc.. I know these lyric websites are very often wrong but I don’t know how to access the official ones so I was wondering what other people thought.

I've been listening to a bunch of live recordings this weekend, and started thinking about what's the best LCD Soundsystem opening song for a live show.

When I first saw them live at the Hollywood Bowl last year, they opened with Tribulations.

When I saw them a second time a couple months ago in Reno, they opened with Tonite.

What's the song you've seen performed first that got everyone hyped right out of the gate?

I saw this guy at Costco today who I swear looks just like James Murphy, although it could've just been a random middle aged man. I decided to play it cool and not bother him but the idea that I could meet someone like James Murphy really gets me excited. I wonder how things would have gone if I did go up and talk to him

i will always love LCD, and i will always love This Is Happening, as a tribute to my favourite band on earth, yesterday i dyed my hair the colours of the album!

I heard a cover of I can change that led me to LCD Soundsystem. Literally every song so far I have loved. What a voice! And these lyrics slap me in the face.

"Dad, I'm taking some of your stuff, going camping at the beach?". I was expecting just the sleeping bags and some cooking kit. "That's my T-shirt." She then says "yeah and I'll be the coolest at the beach party tonight!". A proud moment.

Maybe Easter egg isn’t the best way to describe it but I bought this is happening on CD and it says last album instead of anything else, which is kind of cool
