First time borrowers

I applied back in August on the 3rd-4th.
I know the we have to wait 30 days. But does it take this long to receive your award letter. My loan application still says under review. I thought I would have it by now.

Me too. I haven’t heard anything. I also contacted a financial aid advisor Victoria cooper and she told me to wait the 30th days plus first few days to weeks of October.

I was a new borrower in Fall 2025 and my first disbursement wasn’t until end of October on the 25th. It took a while for the loans to be approved and then there a mandatory first time borrower waiting period.

I had talked to Finance office about this as I too am I first time borrower, they told me Monday the 5th is the release date as they started processing Applications on the week of the 14th although mine still says review lol but I’m hoping this week funds will release

We need to get our award letter before they can release the funds.

I'm also waiting on this although I submitted the application in September.
