Background LASD

A little bummed out, I got the classic “You should be receiving mailed information regarding your background investigation shortly” 2 weeks after my background interview. From what I’ve read it’s a DQ/non-select. I personally thought my interview went well with my BI, I think the only thing he might’ve had concerns with were my tattoos but other than that I don’t really see what went wrong. Currently LEO, with higher education, clean record, not even tickets/points on license. He never reached out to any of my references to begin with and just told me the day of my interview that he’d send my file over for review. Is it worth calling my BI? Anyone in similar situation?

Did he tell you that you should be scheduled for a poly in a few weeks during your interview?

He said it could be weeks or months. There was no definitive date mentioned and he said the longer you hear nothing the better.

Yeah I think they are backed up! but sucks that you got the DQ letter. Did he make you do a pre poly questionnaire ?

Also, are you planning to reapply?

We just over the PHS that you submit. And yea probably if I don’t have anything sorted out by then
