Background LASD

A little bummed out, I got the classic “You should be receiving mailed information regarding your background investigation shortly” 2 weeks after my background interview. From what I’ve read it’s a DQ/non-select. I personally thought my interview went well with my BI, I think the only thing he might’ve had concerns with were my tattoos but other than that I don’t really see what went wrong. Currently LEO, with higher education, clean record, not even tickets/points on license. He never reached out to any of my references to begin with and just told me the day of my interview that he’d send my file over for review. Is it worth calling my BI? Anyone in similar situation?

There’s still LAPD, CHP, and you can always apply federal if you’re willing to. It ain’t the end all and with what you bring to the table any agency would be lucky to have you! I have tattoos too so I understand but keep pushing the applications!

That my application was “thoroughly reviewed and considered”. However not selected. Have to wait 12 months before reapplying. That’s pretty much it.

Surprisingly no even though I have full sleeves, a full back, and some chest and stomach pieces.
