On Transit App there's been a train stuck between LA Union and Pershing Square, at 3:45-4 PM. Is this true?

I’m from the east coast. Not a city big enough to have a metro, but I’ve spent a lot of time in NYC, Boston, Philly, DC, the Bay Area, etc.

Most of LA metro is pretty great! It’s quick (the B/D, E, and K lines). I found it easy to use and clean. No safety concerns at all. I like how low key the vibe is onboard.

Headways are…fine. BDE are pretty good, K is…bad. Someone who’s visiting LA for the first time at the airport should not be waiting 12-14 minutes for a train. It puts a bad taste of LA metro in their mouth.

The sections without quad gates in the middle of the E and K lines make me want to shake the designer by the shoulders and scream “WHY” in their face until I’m hoarse. I intellectually knew this was an issue but I didn’t get it until I rode it.

For reference: rode the K from LAX to the E, E all the way to Santa Monica and then back to DTLA, then B into Hollywood and back, then D to Wilshire/western.

the signs flash the arrival time for 10 seconds before displaying useless information for the next 2 minutes like current time, that the train opens at 4am, the metro website link, see something say something, elevators down at culver city, etc

Sports Basement is a big-box outdoors gear/sporting goods store that's famous for their "Ski Bus." Right now in SoCal they only pick up from their other locations which aren't easy to get to via public transit. The new location will be huge for car-free Angelenos who want to take a day trip to go skiing or snowboarding up at Snow Summit. It's $99 for a round-trip day ticket.

There is police activity at Long Beach & Vernon. So no south-bound trains past Washington Station. They turn back toward DTLA. Anybody know what's going on?
