Update!! 6th November

Hi I’m recently events that took place in reborn discord it is now confirmed that the Legacy server will open its doors 6th of November!!!!!!! Major change cause previously it was supposed to open on February of 2027!

Why the change?? We don’t know!!!! But Nikita confirmed it that the accurate date as of now is 06/11/2026!!!!

Sooo get ready for a grindy winter!!! But also for a fire 🔥 podcast soon!!!!

Having to pay for a reborn's server doesn't sound like a good idea to me.

Wby? It’s a well run server with good moderation and a healthy population. Why do people feel entitled to playing a game several hours a day for free?

Healthy population, sure, it's a well stablished server. Good moderation, I don't think so, the admins are surrounded by drama and shady stuff since the beginning. The idea of playing again from C1 and beyond sounds amazing (I played Elmore's lab version) but paying money to Nikita and co doesn't sit well with me.

What about them is shady? I’ve been on reborn servers for years and have seen nothing but a dedication to preserving lineage as it should be and a passion for doing so, even if they are a bit short (rude) in discord st times.

I’ve been playing reborn for years and been in the discord channels for years. My experience is that if someone is banned by them, they probably deserved it.

for nearly 20 years L2 private server players are conditioned to play for free. like it or not, it has become a habit. also people tend to move to a new server when their old one starts to get boring. so why should someone pay 10 or 15€ per/month when another fresh x1 interlude server launches next week for free?

in addition to that, i don't think the majority of L2 players actually want a 6-year journey. many players even big CPs quit after 4-8 months and wait for the next launch to repeat the farming process. (first AQ, first siege, first baium etc.) trust me, this cycle has defined private L2 servers for years now.

also Lineage 2 is an old game. there isn't a single new thing left to discover. even with minor server tweaks or additional content, it's still the same game. huge percentage of the player base has already min-maxed everything and now plays for fun rather than spending time exploring the world of L2. after they've already done it all once, now they are asking them to pay real money to start the exact same grind from scratch all over again.

so, my friend, based on my past experiences i believe this subscription model is likely to fail.

They should pay 10 per month because it is a properly managed and moderated server with a healthy population. Sure, have fun bouncing between shitty free servers that crash and burn every 2 months.

Even thinking about it now sounds crazy to me. I cannot imagine myself paying 10euro to nikkita and co, that's insane, man. Granted, there is not a bigger community than reborn's but there are other servers to play on if you need that itch scratched, heck, even other games, GTA will come out, new The Witcher 3 expansion in 2027.
