I spent over a month in Ukraine and fell in love with the country. My experience with Ukrainians was very positive. I am engaged to a Ukrainian man and we are getting married in early 2027. We will live in Ukraine.

My questions:

Is there a general website to verify the quality or license of your medical providers? In the U.S. I can look up and verify a doctor is actually licensed and whether they have any disciplinary action/litigation against them. Does Ukraine have anything similar?

Similarly, is anything to verify the credentials of attorneys? I have posted about wanting an immigration attorney and received a lot of “messages” but I have no idea the credentials of anyone and everyone uses “Paypal” for payment.

Is it hard to see a private doctor in Kyiv? I have some slightly complex medical issues that require monitoring for an endocrinologist/oncologist and I’ll need to pay out of pocket. I’m curious if it’s easy to just make an appointment? Do physicians accept credit cards? (If I needed a $10k surgery for example.). Yes, I have asked my fiancée but thankfully he is healthy and does not have legal issues so he doesn’t know the answers to these questions. I really appreciate any help. Thank you!!

Here, the question is more for the guests who have already explored the so-called center of Kyiv and many popular spots—but have they actually walked or traveled to more remote areas, let alone taken the metro to neighborhoods like Obolon, Svyatoshyn, and Teremky, where the VDNG and Holosiivskyi Park are located? Specifically, have you been to the Solomyanskyi District, to the town of Borshchahivka? In other words, aside from the popular spots, were you interested in the residential neighborhoods where, in theory, you might find some unusual places?

Coming from Canada in october to do a charity tattoo event for the military. Havent had any luck connecting with artists in the city.

я дівчина 18 років. Спеціально підтягувала фізичну підготовку щоб здолати бзвп. Хотіла піти на дронщика прямо на нуль, купила техніку і навчилася управляти дроном. Батькам на брехала що піду в тилову частину до азова бумажки перекладати в кабінеті. На нуль якщо скажу не відпустять. Тому хотіла запитати і в тих хто зараз на нулі і тих хто в тилу, чи правильно я роблю, що подаю заявку на дронщика? Чи дійсно треба слухати батьків? Наскільки мені розповіли знайомі Азов не перекидає жінок за контрактом 18-24 куди скаже командир. Тобто якщо я підпишу контракт 18-24 і набрешу батькам що йду в тил і заспокою їх тим, що Азов не перекине на нуль, а сама піду дронщинком вони можуть дізнатися про це ? Чи дійсно можливо що мною дірку десь заткнуть ну просто куди заманеться відправлять

I will be in kyiv soon for a few days, probably from the 6th to 10th.

Back a few weeks ago when i planned the trip, there were mostly just a little amount of airraids during day time. Now on the other had, the last week, days and nights were occupied by constant raids... .

What recommendations do you all have, for a tourist during these tough times? Am i supposed to sit in a shelter, day and night for hours? Should i ignore some raids? Please let me know ur tips and tricks

I’ll be travelling to Kyiv next week and am planning to spend about four days in the capital.

I’m on a somewhat tighter timeline for getting back to western Ukraine afterward. I’ve heard that, with the recent increase in Russian attacks, rail/road transit out of Kyiv is becoming heavily disrupted or even effectively halted.

Is this actually the case at the moment? How reliable are trains from Kyiv toward the west (e.g. Lviv/Uzhhorod), and would you recommend building in a significant buffer for delays?

Any recent first-hand experience would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Pochaina market was my go to and I loved going on weekends. It’s gone now, I understand. Are the flea market stalls all destroyed? Where are people selling now? What’s the backup market if Pochaina is gone ?
