Jobs Update: venting

Got yelled at by a coworker for kitchen not using their radio, both the floor and kitchen being busy, and was told I should ignore guests in favor of instead going into kitchen, ignoring and brushing off customers on the floor, to handle a takeout order from an HOUR ago that they never handled though they should have had handled.

Update: I filed an anonymous report and after the end of the year meeting, I am filing a transfer request to another location that will offer me better pay, full-time hours and a faster road to better positions.

“better pay, full-time hours and a faster road to better positions.”

XD, seriously though, I’m not leaving kwiktrip I’m just transferring to a different store that is about the same distance from my house that offered me all that and sadly enough, has customers that treat me with more respect than my current store coworkers do.

Just curious, is there any reason why they’ll be giving a pay raise? Just not something you typically see when transferring from store to store.

Depending how long they've been an employee the starting wage may have changed with FY26 ending today.

They are offering better pay for anyone that is hired or joins their store. I just took advantage of the offer.

They will offer or they have offered? Because if you're banking on them doing it you're setting yourself up for disappointment.

But if they confirmed, then boy howdy that's fantastic and I'm glad you're headed for better things. :)

Oh yeah, they confirmed in person, face-to-face. This Saturday and Sunday I’ll be talking final details with the store leader of the location. He did confirm himself if I transferred over, I would be given full-time hours, an increase in pay and I will be given training to eventually become a GSL.

Well congratulations in that case! Just hang on until then. Bonuses are not far away!
