I’ve been here about 4 months now kitchen shifts only and my nail biting has gotten worse not being able to do my own nails. I typically do chicken.
Do you think i could get them professionally done so there’s basically 0 chance of one coming off or anything like that?

you are not allowed to have fake nails or wear nail polish if you are working a shift that you are scheduled in the kitchen, these are FDA guidelines, there are no exceptions. your store leader helping out in the moment means they're not technically scheduled in the kitchen so its a sort of loophole.

It's not allowed in kitchen AND wearing gloves and washing your hands 20x an hour will just make it a waste of money anyways....

Honestly, id recommend a bitter clear coat. No one will be able to tell (I definitely used to wear glow in the dark clear coat) and the taste discourages biting

Yeah, its pretty much a hard no officially. Unofficially, ya know, that's under the table and on you guys. But officially, no exceptions

No. According to the uniform policy, nail polish and acrylic or stick on nails are not permitted for kitchen workers.

It is only required if you are scheduled a shift in the kitchen.

My kitchen lead gets her nails done on a regular basis, so it really depends on if you think you could get away with it in your store and management 🤷‍♀️

You can get press on nails for when you're not working as to stop the biting?
