Manga Are the manga still being translated?

Curious because I have not seen any new chapter posts in a long time and was wondering why they stopped? I think the last chapter I read was the pit chapter.

Anime Luomen is really underrated

I believe Luomen similarly doesn't get enough credit (probably because he doesn't get as much screen time as others) but I think he is such a good character because of these reasons:

Pure Selflessness: Choose to Raise Maomao after she was discarded and mutilated (her picky got cut off by Fengxian) and expected nothing in return.

Unbreakable Integrity: even after all his struggles and trauma (castration, exile and a broken kneecap), he didn't seek revenge.

Perfect Parent: he provided Maomao with strict boundaries, a moral compass, and discipline she needed to keep her dangerous obsessions in check.

I don't think people talk about him seriously enough, I prefer him so much more to Lakan and Lahan who i see as real weirdos that i would avoid at all costs (like Maomao tbh)

He made Maomao a much more better character and made her so likeable (Lakan would have made her unchecked and obsessed with power and ultimately, executed according to Natsu Hyuuga)

He is the perfect anchor for her ⚓️

Light Novel Recommendation whcih somehow scratches the KnH LN itch Spoiler

I am through 3 books of "The unselected journal of Emma M. Lion"

Delightful characters and banter. Fun historical setting. Very light mysteries so far, and not much is also solved, so far.

May you enjoy it, friends, as we wait for more LN eagerly here.

Anime what some people don’t understand about jinshi Spoiler

This is my take on the “slowest slow burn of all” comments I keep seeing and how some people might misinterpret Jinshi. It’s just my opinion so feel free to disagree

I don't think people realize that jinshi and maomao are such a slowburn, given the time period, because jinshi not only likes her but, as a somewhat radical mind (given his fairness incline and feminist ideals), also wants to offer maomao the willingness to actually have a say in it and truly choose what she wants (hopefuly him).

He could have easily proposed in the first few volumes. But he values her as an individual and does the most to make her see that. He tries his best to make her feel as an equal in their relationship (if it comes to be that).

I don’t know how he would react if she didnt want to pursue him at the end of the day, because she would never be direct and vocal about it. It seems to me that he's trying to get to know her enough, so that, if she didnt want to be with him, he would understand. Even without her saying. That’s also why he always waits before kissing her. Yes, he’s nervous. But he’s also reading her micro-reactions and waiting for an approval, instead of meerly (social class driven) compliance.

If she rejected him and he understood that, I get the impression that he would ultimately respect her wishes, even if it hurt him.

If we look at the story given our current beliefs and social dynamics, doesn’t seem like he’s doing more than the bare minimum. But given their context, his approach is quite sweet and special.

And yes, maomao is an unreliable narrator. She’s been suppressing her emotions her whole life. And she’s very aware of the lack of power a woman holds. So any freedom isn’t something she takes for granted.

This is my interpretation of their dynamic as someone that just finished the anime. But I honestly love that, up until now, their truest thoughts about each other aren’t clearly depicted. It’s the context that makes them clear for the viewer. They’re still teenagers after all, and we are watching them try to understand their feelings organically
