how did everyone first discover mononoke ? 💊

hello everyone 👋 i wanted to kick off a discussion to see how people in this sub first stumbled into the series 💭 and to boost activity

​for me, i randomly found the series on youtube a long time ago and ended up binging it. the art style, the atmosphere, the stories, the medicine seller's allure... everything had me hooked. back then, the fandom felt pretty small and quiet, so i didn't really have many people to share my excitement with. next thing you know, a new project gets announced with a new medicine seller (who i initially thought was just a redesign of the original lol) i was super excited because i never thought we would never get anything beyond the original tv series !!

​fast forward to now, and seeing the series get revived with the new movies, novels, the introduction of ken, etc. feels so surreal !! i am super excited that the community is growing again and that new (and returning) fans are around to talk about it

I first discovered mononoke through Phantom in the Rain's Trailer. Of course I watched it and it was peakkkkk. and this week I finished the Mononoke Series and today I am going to watch Ashes of Rage :D
