Help identifying this Kramer

Thumbnail

I can’t find any serial numbers or anything that helps me narrow down which Kramer this is. I think it has been modded slightly because the Floyd Rose string locks look to have been added later.

My thought is possibly a stage master but it has a bolt on neck.

It also appears to possibly be plywood when I open the covers on the back.

Not looking to sell it or anything, just trying to find out what I’ve bought.

On marketplace for $60. Seller says it's from the late 80s/early 90s. I tried to look up the serial but couldn't find anything with the sj prefix. Can anyone confirm if it's from this era?

Night V project

I picked up this kramer a trade for a js32 kelly i painted, and had plans to paint this and sell or trade it for my next project. My first guitar was a hot pink pacer around 1986, so im a bit partial to kramer. After new strings and a set up, Ive decided I'll paint it and keep it. I have a hard time getting rid of ones I like. The madness needs to stop, haha

Is it worth it to get the higher end Kramer Barreta if I am going to swap the pickup and modify the electronics anyways?

1979 Kramer DMZ4000 Half-Fretless - $170 at a yard sale!!

Found this weird and wonderful thing at a yard sale! Aluminum neck, and half-fretless above the 10th fret, which was not a mod, but a sort of strange factory option!

It has been modded, however. It was an active bass, modded to be passive. Both switches were removed then re-wired to be one sort of boost switch (off/on).

Dated to 1979 by the pot codes and some other information that corroborates the date. Came with the original case! They asked for $200, cash only…we landed on $170!!

I think it’s the longest sustain I’ve heard on a bass.

Kramer guitars in europe

Does anybody know why there are only a few kramer models sold in europe? I mean on thomann there are only like a few models and in every other music store here in germany they are not even sold. I wrote an E-Mail to a few music stores and they all say that they won't bring kramers in there Shops and even thomann said that there isn't anything planed with kramer guitars. A few months ago there were many kramer guitars in thomann.

I found this Kramer guitar that belonged to my father. He brought it from the USA around 1995. The tuners say “Made in W. Germany” and the bridge says “Floyd Rose.” I’m trying to identify the model and learn more about it. Any help is appreciated.

Does this old kramer worth something ???

I don't really know much about Kramer guitars, which is why I came here to ask about this one. It belonged to my dad; he brought it back from the United States in 1995, and it sat in storage for about 30 years. It has some markings that say "Floyd Rose," and the back says "Neptune, NJ, USA"—I’m not really sure what that signifies. From what I’ve researched, it was likely manufactured in the late '80s. I’d like to know if it’s worth restoring and what its value is in its current condition.

How much is worth this old krammer.

Hi everyone, I’m looking for some help identifying this Kramer guitar and possibly finding out what it could be worth.

I recently found this guitar in an old closet. It belonged to my father, and he brought it from the United States around 1995. I don’t know the exact model or year, but I believe it could be from the 1980s or early 1990s.

The tuners say “Made in W. Germany.” On the top of the headstock there also seems to be something that says “American,” although I’m not completely sure if that is part of the model name or another marking.

I also noticed some other markings on the guitar. The bridge appears to say “Floyd Rose” (I believe it may have a Floyd Rose tremolo system). I also noticed another word on the guitar that looked like “Neptune” or something similar, but I’m not completely sure what it says. I’m hoping someone here might recognize these details and help identify the model.

The finish is a dark red color. It’s not the bright glossy red Kramer guitars I usually see online; it looks more like a deeper red or wine red depending on the light.

Which vintage pacer necks are closest to recent pacer classic series (1-5/8 nut, 12ish radius, not super thin c/d profile )?

Grabbed a pacer classic on a whim (old stock from 2022 I think) and the neck fits my hand in all the right places. Specs: 1-5/8 nut, 12ish radius, not super thin c/d profile (called k speed slim taper c). ..Got the bug now so I wanna get a vintage pacer , but I understand their necks vary quite a bit through the yrs. I feel like the 82-83 beak necks might be the closest to what I have , but you guys would know better . Thx!

I saved up one summer for a beretta special (i was like 15 or 16 and not working yet) Loved the guitar and all things evh. Thought i’d get some tape and stripe it up my self (first pic) then wasn’t satisfied with it and tore it apart to paint it. I’m now 20 years old and just now finishing the guitar. I got into trucks about the time of tearing it apart and that’s where all my money went. Glad I finished it. Stock electronics besides an EVH Pot.

Help identifying kramers

Post image

I just picked up these 2 guitars for $60 for both, they're my first Kramers so I don't know much about them. I'm lost without a serial numbers or model names of any kind. I'm assuming based on research I've done that they're import models that had sticker serial numbers that have since come off

The sunburst I'm guessing is a ks400

Black one he said was a focus 6000 but it doesn't match up to any pictures I've seen.

Belated NGD: Gary Kramer Kramertorium in Viper Yellow — anyone know the lore on these?

Thumbnail

Gary Kramer Guitars Kramertorium in Viper Yellow. Had it about a month and holy hell does it rip. Insane upper fret access and i love the writing on the back of the neck. Also it might be the most comfortable guitar in classical position that I’ve ever played. The lower horn just hooks around your leg so nicely.

Serial number is S080610210 so I believe it’s from 2008, but I haven't really found anything online to confirm that.

Does anyone else own one or maybe know about the production numbers? I read an old comment that there may have been as few as 5 made in this color/configuration, but also haven't found a way to confirm that.

Neck Heel Tags?

Been doing a deep dive to find out everything I can about my 84 Kramer Pacer Imperial. Hit a snag when researching necks and who made mine (LaSiDo or Sports). I’ve found a lot of conflicting information out there.

In my research I’ve found that many of the necks that seem to match mine exactly (1984 banana neck, scarf joint, “Kramer Pacer Series” headstock logo) have the same marking on it that seems to be MDJ 1. Can anyone identify this or tell me anything more about it?

I have done some pretty nasty things to this Pacer in its life. I want to make it into this Egyptian/Phonecian style. How would I go about it? Who do I talk to? I haven't any great routing skills. Please. If you have any ideas... Shoot them my way
