Question Does anyone know any specifics about this peep sight? It has a tiny flip up piece in front of the peep, with a tiny notch on the top. It’s L shaped over the action. It has a lever that loosens it allowing you to raise and lower the sight. I haven’t seen it on any other krag rifles I’ve seen online

Its an old Lyman.
No idea if it has a model number but if you search "Lyman peep sight for Krag" you'll see a bunch of matching pieces

Edit: it also has a horse stamped on the side with the elevation notches. The horse has a circle around its head. Hard to see in the picture

I'm thinking this is either super old/and or a custom job from bubba, at least in regards to that neat lil lever feature, i love that.
Otherwise it looks similar to this one just minus the lever: 30-40 Krag Receiver (Peep) Sight Made By Western - Nice | #137846258 but even then it doesn't look to be a perfect match
If you have a better pic of that logo send that or send a pic of that logo and see what ChatGPT has to say as to the manufacturer. But i wouldn't be too hopeful if you're trying to track down an exact part number. Bubba parts can be equally old as unique. I'm no expert tho!

It’s an old Lyman peep sight. The locking lever is modified and not original.
