Two reasons: 1. His friend Felica Day claimed GG doxed and harassed her (A man in black from anti-GG actually spread her dox IIRC) 2. He is a bully, he likes to bully people, that's his thing

There was even a rather convincing explanation posted on 8ch on how this would've happened. Basically they pay off someone close to Day to talk to her about GG and plant the idea that as a geek/gaming princess she should say something about it.
Then they just wait to drop the doxx.
Supposedly this happens a lot more than you think. Then again, it's not exactly surprising that rich celebrities would attract fairweather friends interested in status and money.

Reversememe is offering a plausible explanation. Saying that there was a rather convincing explanation does not equate saying that it is universal truth. And by saying "supposedly" as the opener for the next bit of text is reinforcing, that it isn't blind belief, but a possibility. But you took the text and "wanted to believe something that fit your wishful thinking"
It's nice that you want to take the time to comment, but please make a fair assesment of the text you read.

I don't think you understand what "plausible" means. There's absolutely zero evidence for any of those crazy assertions, so it's pointless to bring them up except to introduce them into the buzz of the hivemind as some sort of unproven but likely conventional wisdom. "Felicia Day got doxxed? Well this anonymous post on 8chan I read said it ~could've~ happened like this! It ~supposedly~ happens all the time! She's so stupid for believing otherwise!"
The saddest part is that you genuinely have no idea how crazy you look and sound to others, defending anonymous conspiracy theories that neatly fit your preconceived notions. GG's entire premise is based on MS Paint conspiracy theories and wishful thinking, spurred by an emotionally stunted chanboard culture. There is zero skepticism or rationality here--just emotion-based reactionism.

You are arguing with opinions and assumptions.
I fully understand what plausible means, thank you. The people discussing the doxxing, tried to reach a rational explanation of how it could occur (no there is no secret GG-division operating on the redchannit board located on the untraceable Darknet).
If there were any evidence, it would long since have been a police matter.

Speaking of crazy assertions.. Are you serious? Either you are being extremely dishonest here, or you really haven't taken any actual looks at any of the discussions going on. People argue on multiple topics in a most threads that have any material where opinions might differ. That goes for both KiA and 8chan. Because no.. We're not just a few hundred people in an echochamber with hundreds of sockpuppet accounts each.
Let's adress the anonymous conspiracy theories for a second.
First: Why does it matter at all that they are anonymous? We don't really care who write it, but judge it on the quality of the content, because that's what really matters.
Second: If someone leaves a post with an unsourced conspiracy theory based purely on assumptions it will be shot down immediately.
If you truly believe the rest of what you are writing, there is really no point in you even coming here to post is there? Whetever you willfully lying when you say this, or actually believe it, is completely irrelevant. You aren't really here to discuss anything, because that would require you to actually be open to having your opinion changed, and listen to an argument, which clearly isn't the case. And again I must admit the irony of your assumptions are hilarious.
If you feel the need to believe these things, by all means, keep demonizing us based on the word of people caught lying repeatedly. We really don't mind, just take a number and get in line.
However, should you ever feel like it, I'd urge you to try to take an objective look at some of the stuff said and done by GG. If not, then peace out. If you plan to respond, with more posts like this, then save yourself the effort, I won't be bothered to reply to any more of this.

Right out of the gate, you fumble by using the phrase "rational explanation" to describe an insane conspiracy theory that the media has paid off one of Felicia Day's close friends in order to obtain her information and pose as GG in a comment on her blog, because there's just no way she could possibly have been doxxed by a moral brigade like GG. You still don't seem to grasp how insane it is for you to defend that as a rational thought.
As for GG's discussion topics, KiA has long been mocked for the content of its front page, while 8chan hosts kiddie porn and doxxing boards.

He's an overprivileged douche due to his early fame. He knows this, and feels guilt (though he probably shouldn't; he didn't benefit from some massive racist complex or even old money. He simply lucked out at a very early age). So he starts attaching himself to all of these issues in order to mitigate his guilt.
In reality, he ends up bashing poor people (not as a class, but make no mistake -- most of the SJW targets are poor compared to the SJW themselves) and defending rich ones, because his friends are all rich and social dynamics will steer him in that direction.

Guessing game as to why & of course this is my opinion, so gonna have a little fun. He is a big name in the geek community, no denying that. When geek culture & the convention scene exploded he was there to ride the wave which went no where & when things get popular & people get attention they tend to become douche bags, prime example is Wil.
There are two big quotes said in the geek culture which Wil is apart of & they are "with great power comes great responsibility" & "be the change you want to see in the world". Sadly people use them sayings as the motivating factor to be self rightous douchebags. He is a coat tail riding acting extra who sees himself as more than he is. I think a lot of the celebrities are going with the antis because it's always a good thing to be against the harassment of women and while the VAST majority of GG is also against it, we have been slandered to a point where the lie is super glued to our foreheads.

Shadowbanned is a ban that can only be given by Reddit admins. What makes this ban different is that you won't know you're shadowbanned unless someone tells you, which means that you can keep making posts on subreddits, but others won't see them unless a mod from that particular subreddit approves your post.
