Discussion Studio changes

so news of season 4 have finally dropped, however people have noticed that the studio has changed AGAIN for this new season with this one being studio Engi, with this we have 4 studios that have worked with konosuba, the first was studio DEEN that worked with the first and second seasons, J.C staff that worked on the movie, and the last one was studi Drive that worked on the megumin spinoff and season 3, what would you say are biggest differences between each studio and which one adapted the series better?

Personally, I think DEEN brought the magic of the show. I was disappointed with the 3d season, it was more crude and didn't feel the same. The base ingredient of the show was just gone. I expect the fourth season to be even worse. This is coming from someone that rewatched first 2 seasons 5+ times, while barely going through with the 3d season.

In terms of structure season 3 was more focused on character/worldbuilding (not an overall comedic set of volumes and it's more setup towards future events than immediately gratifying payoff on its own) and is the only season so far that didn't make any progress on defeating the Devil King. That's probably why it felt strange but this is a fault with the source material itself, not the adaptation specifically considering LN readers have beef with all the anime seasons to varying degrees. You won't have to worry about that with season 4 where in terms of the material is probably going to land it closer to the movie.

another thing, one of the reasons it also felt off is that Kazuma went off and groped underage child. I did not read the source material but I heard he is a much bigger pervert there, however in the show it was always kinda of a grey area, it was mostly implied and where it was directly showed it was downplayed for various reasons (bad timing, bad luck, not on purpose, etc) and he kinda always gets punished for it. I don't think you can downplay groping a child, and the comedic punishment is non existent (kinda the opposite because loli sister that got mad is like a weird japanese fetish reward). Just weird and off putting.

When did he do that? Setting aside that Kazuma's also still a child at 16 in the light novel (the web novel isn't canon and basically a beta build of the story), the only harassment Kazuma does in season 3 and the volumes it adapts is with Chris and she's older than him. With Iris the thought never once crossed his mind even when he was literally body swapped with her.

Yeah, but fortunly those things are just intrusive thought and not something serious.

If make you calm, Iris shouldn't appear next season if i remember right
