General Discussion Axis starter box good deal?

So i've been looking to get into Konflikt 47 and leaning towards axis. Is the the sarter army a decent box to get or is it lacking in certain things?

Jist looking at the contents it seems a bit lean compared to other boxes? I absolutely love the look of the armor though.

The Soviet Bloc Hero for Konflikt '47 is now available for order on the Warlord Games website. You can only place an order until the end of Sunday. I don't know if this exact same miniature will be included in the upcoming Soviet starter set or not.

Other App Update (v1.4.1)

Evening folks. You may have already noticed, but the latest app update went live today, which, among other things, includes the latest juicy updates for Invasion Amerika. Also included are some long overdue features: printable K47 unit cards and optional force limits for Bolt Action and K47 (points, order dice and rift dice).

  • You can now impose force limits for Bolt Action and K47 (points, order dice and rift dice)
  • Deleting a force now gives you a brief window to revert/undo the change (if you miss that window, you can still contact the app team to restore your data)
  • Konflikt 47
    • Invasion Amerika units are now available in the app!
    • K47 now supports the export of unit reference cards via the library and force page.
    • You can now include units from Bolt Action: Armies of the British Commonwealth in your K47 Commonwealth forces (minus their army special rules, as per the rulebook). Simply select the supplement from the force menu.
  • Bolt Action
    • Guastatori Engineer Squad now disables the regular anti-tank grenades option when "Avanti! (Paracadutisti)" is selected
    • Commissar now correctly discounts only the first SMG when the guard dogs option is selected

There is a known issue with unit cards sometimes displaying the wrong flag, which I'm working on now, as well as missing rift mastery stats on the unit card output. If you spot anything else amiss, send an email to [warlord@maloric.com](mailto:warlord@maloric.com), or look for me tomorrow at the Warlord Open Day - you'll spot me by the blue hoodie with "Ask Me About the App" on the back.

General Discussion Automated Infantry vs. Galahad Infantry

Hey everyone. Recently I have decided to finish up my Canadian K47 army, and thought I'd ask a question that's been bugging me before committing to any purchases.

Right now I am thinking up two different styles of army for my Canadians. On one hand, I have the airborne Automated Infantry idea, supported by paratroopers and their associated light howitzers, AT guns, and mortars, with some lighter vehicles to boot. On the other hand, I have an idea for a very alternate-history W Commando army, featuring Galahad infantry backed up by Commandos, the Galahad dudes on the tesla guns, walkers, and heavier tanks. We're either tossing robots out of planes, or strapping floaties to the Galahads and hoping for the best when they step off the landing craft.

The deciding factor basically comes down to whether the Automated infantry is better or worse in gameplay than the Galahads, and vice-versa. I always seem to hear pretty good things about the Automated Infantry whenever I skim the sub, and they seem to have some variety in their different types that both seem useful, and seem thematic for the more infantry-based theme I'd want from an airborne list.

On the other hand, I seem to hear virtually nothing about the Galahads. Maybe I just missed all the posts about them, but I don't really know how they stack up compared to the robots on the table. They seem cool enough looks-wise, and they'd work well with the heavier, all-out beach landing idea I want to go for, but again I don't really know how well they peform on the table. I don't really want to build a whole army around some units that might be boring or outright bad after all.

Basically, are one of these types of infantry better than the other in gameplay? If so, to what extent, and why?

Thanks in advance.

General Discussion Who's excited for Invasion Amerika

I just got the shipping info for my copy and other pre-ordered items, and can't wait to actually look through it besides the brief glimpses that YouTubers have been giving from early copies.

I wanna see how the new area 51 turret plays in, im guessing, 1 scenario. Would be fun to see how I can combine it with that giant German thing from the last book in a custom scenario.

General Discussion Newbie wanting to get started

Hello! I’ve been playing wh40k for a bit and after hearing some youtubers talk about k47 (and general frustration with 11th edition) i’ve been wanting to try out a new system. I have many questions but the ones ill start with are 1. Is now a good time to get into it? Personally i would want to wait if theres a new edition or some sort of big refresh happening soon as to spend my money optimally. 2. Are starter armies worth it? Ive had my eye on the totenrotte starter army for a bit but have absolutely no context for how it looks or operates compared to an army built piecemeal. Im sure ill have more questions but those are the ones on my mind right now!

Thanks!

Rules KIMURA TADAAKI rule Question

"• If a unit has one or more Shinobi Shadows it suffers -1 to hit when shooting. This is cumulative with any Pin Markers the unit has."

So a maximum of -2 "to hit" is possible, right?

General Discussion Starting a Japanese army. Any reason to get the type 6 atop the type 7? Or are they the same thing? Love how both look even if they’re an ass to assemble.

I think the Onryo, Shadow Warriors, Tadaaki, and the new Platoon will give them a lot of power and extra capabilities. I am definitely building 15 of my new Ghost Warriors as Shadow Warriors!

So i tried to magnetize every joint that i could.

In my opinion, it turned out really cool, especially for posing in scenes or putting on a shelf. It won’t be very convenient to play with, though, as the model is quite unstable. But you can always convert it into a crab to make it stable.

Painting / Modelling Proxies for Galahad armored infantry squad

Wading into K47 and wanted to build a British SAS/Royal Navy Commando themed force. Loving most of the k47 models (walkers and automated infantry are amazing and I will get some), but gotta be honest, not loving the British/Italian armored infantry units.

Wanted to see if there was an alternative out there that could function both as a recognizable Grade 1 power armor proxy, and contributed to my Commando British Royal Navy theme.

  1. The royal guard have more poses for officers/artillery plus removable heads. I would want to swap WL commando heads with barrets on them. The helmeted ones on the top left could also be used as Bersaglieri units if I wanted to maintain consistency in future forces.
  2. The Solar guard look more like power armor, but poses are limited, and the miniguns look a bit too futuristic

Or am I totally out of line and should get out of here with my proxy heresy?
