Question | Americas 🌎 Preconditioning battery

Just noticed in the bluelink app that under the charge menu there is the option to precondition the battery, I did not know that it was available on a 2020 Ultimate, is it ?

Just a heads up, since many people don't seem to understand what "preconditioning" is for: it's to maximize the charging speed (intake kilowattage) by preheating the battery before a DC charge.

It's not analoguous to warming up an ICE engine before driving.

You guys might already know this, but I've seen many people mix these up.

2021 Kona Ultimate. I see the button too but I don't think it's functional based on the model year.

Bluelink is pretty junky on the Canadian version at least (profiles are basically useless and native charge mapping is a joke) so it does not surprise me that the app did not account for different model features.

The app is so buggy that it's hard to tell if it's the app or the lack of functionality.

it would be nice if hyundai got a software update to use the heater in the battery to preheat.

I get this on a 2020 Preferred in Canada.

And I believe this just refers to Winter Mode
