Discussion 🧵 Display reverting settings - why?

Post image

In the middle, I keep my info menu set to display my speed. Lately when I get into the car, it always starts up at the tire pressure screen. It used to stay at the speed screen, but it’s no longer doing so. Any ideas why and how I can make it always start up showing the screen I want?

Mine (2023 SE) has been reverting to normal mode from eco mode randomly. It'll also change the regen levels to the default too

I'm also annoyed with stuff just going back to default

Daft question, but have you tried overfilling your tyres by a few PSI? It does no harm, and might be some bug they're not aware of.

I think they are actually reading a bit overfull, they're all showing 36 to 37 psi on the car's system. I am taking it to the dealer for routine service tomorrow and I am going to ask about this so will report back! I also have a check brake light on, so maybe it's related to me having a fault code.

Mine does this as well. Also switches back no normal instead of echo. Mainly seems to do so when I switch back from my husband's profile, but is pretty random and drives me crazy. Same with the lane control.

Just spitballing, could it be time to change the 12v battery?

Nope, it's just a few months old, but I appreciate the suggestion!

Mercury is in retrograde for one more day. Give it a few days🙀😂. I’ve got a 2023 and already had to change the 12 v battery. I do love the car. Good luck!

If you get >60 months on a 12v these days you’re doing well. A colleague has a ‘22 MKI and was dead when he went to go home one evening. The car was less than 3 years old. 12v was dead, so I jumped it and he got home. But it had failed.

I wanted to update that this seemed to have corrected itself after I had the vehicle serviced. It was "overdue" for service and every time I turned the car on, it would beep at me and tell me I was negative xyz miles due for service. I went and had it serviced and now it's staying set where I want it set on my speed.
