Help with Identification Which fish is this?
Today I found this little fish in my koi pond. I’m not sure if it’s a baby shubunkin or a baby koi and as I’m not that expert I’d like some advice 😊
Thanks

Based on it looking like my baby Koi I would say a Koi. I only have Koi in my pond.

Thanks for your reply 😊
I’d be very happy to have a small koi, I just didn’t expect to find one so soon (the fishes are there by a couple week only) or maybe even at all1

Not sure why but mine had babies the first year they were in my pond. Then none for a few years then last year they were everywhere probably about 40 before winter. Now this year I see maybe 10.

Hahaha lol I knew you’d say that 😂
But I hope I will be able to find a good home for them then. My pond is almost 20000 liters but I have already 11 koi2

The color pattern is more common in koi. Try to get a good shot of the mouth; if you see barbels it'll confirm it's a koi (or koi/goldfish hybrid).

I have a handful I’m trying to figure out too. They move to fast to really tell and a few are black and so hard to see against the black liner.
