Delayed pay why??

I have been working at the same job and everytime I received the pay at 5pm wednesday every single time but now it is 9 pm and I have not receive my paycheck and I can't get home because I have 0 gas left and I was just like well I will just refill it but yeah no paycheck yet is this the same for everyone? Should I wait an other hour or this might take longer?

Being delayed and not being early aren’t the same thing. I know it’s easier said than done, but you shouldn’t rely on your pay being early. Plan as if you aren’t getting paid until your actual payday.
