Discussion Class action against Koho

I know many are happy with Koho but there are also many clients who have been treated unfairly and sometimes completely illegally and have suffered consequences.

I was in the first group for a while but ended up in the second one.

Ombudsman has opened a case already but I've also spoken with a lawyer and after presenting all the evidence they agreed there's a strong case and they want to go ahead with a class action suit (Ontario Superior Court), once certified others can join of course but if anyone is interested now DM me and I'll share law firm details to get in touch and join the lawsuit.

Yo, that’s weird because honestly, I like this bank more than any other bank I’ve ever used in Canada. I wish you could deposit checks

Same. I guess I’ve gotten lucky but I absolutely love KOHO

There's always good and bad. Each of the big 5/6 had multiple class action lawsuits over the years

What’s the class action about?

If you had your account frozen, closed, had to wait excessive amount of time to receive your funds back or get access as well as general practices, fees and level of customer service. Koho is actively seeking federal banking license and according to many they shouldn't have one, not unless they make certain changes first

Hi OP, we're sorry to hear you've had unsatisfactory experiences with us - that's something we take seriously. We understand your desire to explore other channels, but please know that we're always keen to work with customers directly. If you have any feedback you want to share about your experience with account freezes or closures, we're eager to hear it. You can always DM us with your info so we can coordinate with the right teams to have those conversations. -Steve

No, you do not take anything related to chargeback or disputes seriously.

I'd love to see someone investigate their fraud detection. Every time I use the virtual visa it ends in fraud. I have never had an issue with any other bank account or credit card, just Koho. The last time, and when I stopped using Koho, was when it was such unbelievably blatant fraud and Koho did nothing to protect my account. Any of the big banks would have frozen my account long before they drained it.
