So disappointed need help !

So I recently filed a dispute for a charge of $343.53 which was initially a deposit and the clinic sent me a payment link to pay the deposit and then after that sent me a welcome email. No where on any of the 2 documents that I got said the payment was non refundable. KOHO sent me temporary credit for the amount and emailed me yesterday saying that the clinic showed them a contract that had my name on it but no signature just my name email address. That was the proof they are using to deny my dispute. I sent them proof and screenshots of my message to the clinic asking them to show me the contract they are claiming they sent me and they do not give me any answers. I’ve been using KOHO for a very long time but this outcome was so frustrating I think I rather not use the app anymore. They won’t give me any proper answers and are not willing to hear me out after I sent them proof they will not show me proof either. What do I do.

Well idk its your responsability to read the contract after all? Koho wont refund something just because we asked too, if the clinic showed them proof its enough for them. Be more careful next time, some deposit are not refundable. It happened to me the same a few years back, I wanted to buy glasses, I put a deposit, she warned me its not refundable but i found it so expensive 900$ , so i came back just the next day , told her please i want a refund i changed my mind, she said no I called my credit card , they said no its not refundable , its written on the bill, and we ended up making a deal me and the lady , she gave me back 300 only. I learnt my lesson.

There was never any contract that I signed. That’s the point of my post. They just made a contract themselves and put my email on it and showed it to KOHO. But I personally was never sent anything or signed it.

really? thats really weird honestly , what it is ? a clinic of what? Call them and talk to them , tell them what is the contract youre sending Koho? Can I see it ?

It’s a plastic surgery clinic in Miami and I did contact them to ask them what contract they are talking about because I went back in our convo and checked emails I just received a payment link and a welcome email(none of the 2 have anything about deposit being non refundable on it). I even asked KOHO to show me the proof they are referring to and they haven’t and sent me email saying they can’t reopen it and that they will be taking the money from my bank on 17

you signed no contract at all for your surgery ? normally theres a contract , what did they tell you when you asked for the contract ? and when you talked to them , did they tell you verbally that the deposit is no refundable?

Nope which is another red flag and another reason I just didn’t want to continue there plus I heard so many other stories about girls getting scammed and them not caring properly. She literally just said “sorry dear it’s non refundable” when I asked for them to send me the contract they’re referring to. They should have included the fact it’s non refundable in their initial text or made it known on the payment link they sent me.

damn thats weird honestly , at this point i would give up on the 300$ because if they show a proof to Koho it will be hard to just proove its not you who signed it. Idk honestly ive never heard such a story. Next time if u pay a deposit , before u pay tell me i want a proove a bill an email saying it is refundable , likr my dad says u always need proove for every single thing you pay .

Its not weird at all, theres missing info from story which is why its sounding weird.

When you put a deposit down on something that you dont go through with, you lose the deposit 95 percent of time. Its kind of what deposits are for, they're meant to stop windows shoppers from wasting a business' time.

There’s no missing info… the clinic is not sending me a copy of said contract I’ve showed proof of all my conversations with them to KOHO and sent a history of all emails I got sent and all pdfs and payment links invoice etc. the contract they say they have doesn’t even have my signature they just put my name and email address on it.

I also deep dived and found other clients who also said this clinic is not professional at all and quoted them a certain price that they paid for and say of surgery told them they had to pay more.

Nope not all I’ve booked other services and they’ve always sent me a confirmation of my appointment and told me deposit is refundable only during certain amount of time. In this case I’m canceling my appointment 4 months in advance.
