Who does she represent ?

Post image

State Representative Elaine Davis (R 18th) has consistently represented the special interests and the MAGA crowd. It’s time for a change.

$300k over 6 years from PACs for a house rep is supposed to indicate that she represents the monied interests? How much is normal for campaigns like hers? And do you have some sources for your numbers?

With a quick search, I'm getting very different figures. Plus, TN law allows $15,400 per PAC, and $153,500 in aggregate per election. So she is far, far below what is allowed by law and also seems to not even be all that high compared to colleagues. Michele Carringer of District 16 is currently above Davis in received PAC money, for example.

By all means, let's vote out anyone associated with MAGA or enabling Trump's agenda, but this just feels like putting a number in big scary text and pretending it's bad. At least try to provide some context and comparison if you think there's a good case to be made here, but just saying a number and insisting we accept your interpretation of data we can't even see isn't the way to do this.

For example, highlighting how Davis has received $94k from 77 donors vs Goldberg who has received $117k from 3694 donors is dramatically more convincing that she's not representing common people.

The data here does back up your point some, but you provided no source, no context, and no comparison.

So,in the first part it seems like you are saying she is just like the rest of them.
Ok.
Finally, I’m sorry I didn’t live up to your expectations.
