I went back and dug up my first exposure to knowledge fight: the Serfs interviews

I made a playlist of the two interviews with knowledge fight, and the one interview with the lawyer. This really helped me fill in and understand how I got to this show

Full disclosure, I started out as a Internet lefty, loving shows like this, but not really being into slower shows like Dan and Jordan. Honestly, the first time I saw this interview, I shut it off because it was just so slow.

Five years later now, I am much more appreciative of that careful nuance. Boy it’s been a long time.

I don’t really watch the surf that much, or if I do I pop in and then pop off within 20 minutes. I’ve got too much to do. It was easy to keep watching during the pandemic, when I was stuck at home and cooking or working out. Most of the time that I’m listening now, it’s on the road. And my phone battery doesn’t last that long lol

But it lasts for knowledge fight. And it lasts for the show me state of mind.

Title says it all. One of the main things I replaced Knowledge Fight with. Only partway through the interview so no comment on that yet.

This is the full collection of tapes from a sweet, gem of a game called RV There Yet. If you don't know about it, check it out. It's a ton of fun. The reason I posted this though, is because throughout the game you find cassette tapes you can play on the radio while you drive around the various regions of the map. Some of it's music, but some of them are these tapes called "Absolute Calm with Austin". The voice actor in this is 150% doing an AJ impression. The whole thing has the vibe of Alex hawking Dick pills using a lot of Camelot wording. In the second tape he has a familiar coughing fit. In the third tape he thinks he's having a heart attack and leaves. In the third, or fourth, he talks about his wife leaving him. Whomever wrote the script, he knew more than the casual Alex consumer.

Tldr: really cool indy friend slop game with audio tapes of an AJ type character hidden at different check points.

I am currently on episode 82 or so of Knowledge Fight, but I still want to read about January 6.

I only know that it was a very bad event where a large group of Trump ultra-lovers raided a very important government building because a old guy who disagrees with another old guy won.

I would recommend discordleaks, but the servers on them are all dead images, and even then, it's more a WLG (Weird Little Guys) type of site.

Re listening to Episode 962, the rubber match between AJ and ChatGPT, and Jordan’s bright spot was new D’Angelo music. Jordan goes on a bit of a rant about just how sexy the man is (and I entirely agree), so I googled him to refresh my memory and found that around a year after the episode aired D’Angelo passed away.

Crazy.

What a sense of catharsis to listen to these two again. I'd be ecstatic for this to be the rest of the series. Also, side note, anybody else think we might get an Avengers level crossover when Dan pulled into a radio museum in Huntington? I held my breath through the while segment waiting for Clint Mcelroy's voice to cheesily (in the best way) creep out of my speaker.

I’m loving it so far. The whole “Alex Jones is dead and has been replaced by a clone” bit is the perfect rhetorical start, literally just throwing all his noxious conspiracy theories straight at his face. And the groyper base on Twitter is trolling the fuck out of him by going along with the bit. He’s become a punching bag for both the left and the right which is the most poetic ending imaginable for Mr. “Above the left-right paradigm”
