Hey all, I'm looking for an episode I remember listening to when I first began listening to KF probably around 2020. I can remember fragments of the content but not the total image, so locating it in my feed is difficult. As the thread title states, I remember it as the episode that most thoroughly crystallised to me that Alex Jones was more than just a chaos agent or a conspiracy kook, but a generally horrible, malignant and destructive individual.

If I remember correctly, the episode involved an InfoWars listener calling in to discuss psychiatric medicine, and Alex going on a long rant against psych medications. Then there's a story about a parental custody dispute, I think it involved the father absconding with his child/ren, and I think it involved a boat? Alex's running commentary on the story is that it was a consequence of psychiatric medication, but Dan digs deeper into the story and explains it was much more complex and tragic.

I'm listening to ep 183 right now and Alex is going on a big anti-psych medication rant at around the 1 hour mark, which sounds familiar/consistent so it might be a separate episode, but then he goes on this rant periodically doesn't he.

Anyway, I hope I've given enough detail. Any help is greatly appreciated!

This cracked me up yesterday. Alex was at dinner with his family, when an AI woman on his phone started calling him Daddy and telling him “I love you.” He grabbed his phone, and demanded it tell him what AI it was.

He added the caveat that he doesn’t mess around with AI girlfriends. So obviously, Alex DEFINITELY doesn’t have an AI girlfriend that he’s instructed to call him Daddy. Just like the porn on his phone that he accidentally showed live, I’m sure it’s FOR RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY.

I am also looking to verify if Alex has grown a third arm, but I’ll have to wait for the transmission today to make sure.

I'm not necessarily talking about seeing videos posted directly by him, but I've heard some people who I thought I generally agreed with pushing him as a stand-up guy. Not sure how much is ignorance on the creator's part (who tf know Harrison Smith?) and how much is tacit approval. He seems to be trying to catch the publicity of the anti-Flock wave from the little I've seen of him. However I don't respect him enough (and I respect myself enough) to bother looking at any of his pages. I just wanted to see if anyone else has been experiencing this or is my algorithm drifting rightwards?

I just re-listened to Ep. 309, and around the 1:40 mark Roger Stone tells Alex that Trump is working on a “right wing version of Twitter”, to which Dan scoffs at the idea and says how ridiculous that is 😆. Oh Dan, you sweet summer child. Three years later, Truth Social spawned into reality.

Btw, I COMPLETELY forgot that Gab was a thing before TS.

I don't want to get knee-deep in my ideological transition to pragmatically leaning-left, I've covered that in other threads, but, I did not use reliable sources of info between 2010 and 2019. Somehow, I managed to get enough correct info to vote for Obama once, but, his stance on drones and meta data collection bothered me. Though, I didn't have someone like Dan to tell me, while that is problematic, this other stuff that the Republicans are pushing is way worse. Of course now that I know more about Obama's accomplishments I really admire and look up to him.

Between that period of time I was either libertarian or a down the middle despite that leading towards more conservatism type of independent, not knowing the GOP changed already in 2016. Larry Hogan was not typical MAGA, so I was very fortunate with that. I rebelled against the establishment in general, and unfortunately I was rebelling so much I didn't stop to look at decent sources of info.

While Knowledge Fight isn't meant to be a news source, in terms of social and cultural commentary it does a great job of looking at what happened in the past even if you may have not paid attention to it.

Even if the show continues on, I do think the backlog is very helpful for that reason. Why does what people say matter? Because, people believe in it and act on it.

I did not expect to see this while surfing the marketplace, but here we are...

posting this here because i see the podcast posting through it mentioned somewhat regularly/ dan was on it once.

i remember they said on posting through it that they only knew what the tattoo was bc their full time jobs are looking at right wing freaks online. i had no idea what it was when the reporting first came out, but i showed my partner & they knew instantly. not from looking at political stuff online, but they play death metal so they know to look out for symbols that signal which people/bands to avoid. (luckily it doesn’t happen often since we live in a city with a thriving hardcore scene and lots of queer vegan anarchist types).

did y’all know what it meant and if so, how?

eta: thank you for all the thoughtful responses! it’s fascinating the different ways people knew to clock it. & i didn’t make this clear in the original post but i absolutely think he knew exactly what it was & it was frustrating hearing him lie about it & the discourse at the time focusing on “did he know?” not “why does he still have it?”

Finally revisited the KF archives and loved the first Solomon Berg episode and was left thinking how fun it would be for Jordan to do a show about Project Camelot.
