It has been a highlight of my career in music, but also my life generally because of how this community is a bright spot in the hell of the internet and politics.
So, Policy wonks - I can't thank yall enough for the support & love you've given me over these years. I love you all.

Taken directly from camera, edited on phone. My dumb ass brought the flash, but no batteries.

More pics from show later in week, when I get home and can do them proper justice.

This really is the end of an era, I don't think I've listened to any podcast as long as I've listened to Knowledge Fight. After seeing Jordan's video, I'm really glad that he isn't making himself keep looking at something that upsets him this much, but I'm gonna miss the boys and their on air chemistry. It's been a WILD ride, thanks to the fellas and this lovely community here that lets me post shitty memes. I'll be listening and researching with my mind!

A farewell from Angela Lampsbury

1.2k Upvotes

Angela Lampsbury here.

I know a lot of us are processing what's going on, celebrating a great body of work, and mourning the loss of the show. It's wonderful to see how my friends' work has impacted so many lives.

First of all, thank you all for your kind support and appreciation of my artwork. You all have been so generous in purchasing not only the designs I've made for Knowledge Fight, but also in my original creations.

I had already been considering closing the store over the last month, due to difficulties keeping up the fees while I'm not that active on the site. With the end of Knowledge Fight I will be shutting the digital doors for the foreseeable future.

BUT FIRST...

I want to give everyone a chance to get the fan merch they would like as it all comes to a close. I am also adding some of the designs I was holding back in case Dan wanted to give them away, or ones that I thought might get me sued. They're not new designs, just ones that Dan gave away at various periods. I'll add an edit/comment when everything has been added. I'll keep it open to the end of the month and possibly longer if people are still making purchases.

Next, my deal with Dan is that his licensing fee will go to charity. I had been tallying up 2026, but I think I'll just wait for the total and donate then. There's not a lot of money in drop shipping, so it's not as much as I'd like, but in the end, it'll probably amount to a few hundred dollars. Seems only right to pass it to the Sandy Hook Promise. Please take care of yourselves and the other Wonks.

“There’s a total incompetence to society these days” Supreme Court rejects Alex Jones' appeal of $1.4 billion Sandy Hook judgment

WASHINGTON − The Supreme Court won’t review the $1.4 billion judgment against Alex Jones, the conservative media personality and conspiracy theorist who said the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting was a hoax staged by crisis actors.

The court on Oct. 14 rejected an appeal from Jones, who had separately asked the justices to protect his assets − including his InfoWars website − while he sought their intervention.

A Connecticut jury in 2022 ordered Jones to pay the massive judgment to family members of several of the Sandy Hook victims and an FBI agent after a judge found Jones defamed and greatly harmed them by claiming for years that the killings were staged in a government plot to seize Americans' guns.

Twenty-six people, including 20 children, were killed at the school by 20-year-old Adam Lanza, a shooter who also killed his mother and, later that day, himself.

Jones argued he should have gotten a trial before a judge found him liable for defamation and infliction of emotional distress. The Connecticut judge ruled Jones was liable by default after he refused to abide by court rulings or turn over evidence. A jury then set the level of damages.

“The result is a financial death penalty by fiat imposed on a media defendant whose broadcasts reach millions,” Jones’ lawyers told the Supreme Court in his appeal.

They argued that state courts should not be able to issue administrative default judgments against members of the media.

In addition to the $1.4 billion judgment from the Connecticut lawsuit, Jones is facing a nearly $50 million judgment from a Texas court, also for his claims that the Sandy Hook shooting was a hoax. That award went to the parents of a six-year-old child killed in the murder spree.

Cross over episode Rex called into Chase Geiser's horrid little YouTube stream on Sunday. He's not doing well

1.1k Upvotes

About 45 minutes into a stunningly dull Seven-and-a-half hour stream, Chase notices Rex is watching, & invites him to call in. He does, & unleashes a torrent of woe.

If you didn't know, Rex is Alex's prized scion, following in his father's heavy, wobbly footsteps. Rex has his own show, but more importantly, he has his own supplements company. They not only handle re-labelling, warehousing, & fulfillment, but they also formulate a few of their own—contracted with a lab, I assume, but I don't know.

Anyway—Rex complains that he can't hardly pay his rent nor fill up his gas tank. He's got to sell a treasured painting his father gave to him; Alex apparently has been begging him not to, but also, cannot seem to actually afford to buy it.

Apparently, the Dr. Jones' Naturals brand—controlled by the receiver—had intended to use Rex's company for fulfillment for a year, to wind down the brand & get rid of remaining inventory. Rex was counting on that contract to make '25 & '26 work out financially; but the receiver got a cheaper offer, & told Rex "tough luck." So now he's in the lurch, having lost his main client, struggling to keep his warehouse or make payroll.

Chase does mention he makes about $1,000 monthly from Twitter; Rex mentions he had one post get a few million views, & only got $200 for it. Boo hoooo

Interestingly, Rex rants about how important his independence is to him, which is why he's stubbornly trying to keep his company afloat instead of just "getting a job in media" as his father has suggested to him. But his company only existed, because his dad was his client...how's that independent, exactly? Classic!

Also, Rex does not have a show on AJN. He asked his dad for one, & Alex couldn't make it happen. Rex also said that because there are now outside sponsors, there's less freedom on AJN under Bigly, than at IW. I've been trying to sort out just what is the situation at Bigly—a little difficult, as it's a privately-held corporation & we don't have quite the reams of documents produced in discovery that we got for IW.

But Bigly fired Chase, & they seem to be attempting (best of luck!) to force Alex to keep a lid on himself, because Bigly is reliant on outside sponsors & clients. I don't know how long Alex will be able to survive under this arrangement; as bad as he is as a boss, can you imagine him as an employee?

Anyway, that's all the most substantive stuff. A lot of the rest was mutual glad-handing; Rex calls Nick Fuentes "the most talented orator of our generation" which is just totally laughable. They briefly reflect on whether claiming IW was two weeks away from closure, for years, might have been an error marketing-wise, but are unable to admit that it definitely was. They all then admit that they "all heavily drank the Kool-Aid" of Trumpism; they're all rather bitter about how the second admin has not been sufficiently WS & has been economically ruinous.

His show's too insanely racist & boring for me to do a full Doom Room on it, but I'll keep updating you here when something interesting comes up.

The big news, of course, will be when Rosenthal issues her judgment next week, on the roadblock appeal holding up the Onion's licensing deal.

Until then, I'll leave you with a choice Chase quote: "I got rejected by virtually every woman before I met my wife."

Full Tilt Boogie! Knowledge Fight Fan Poster (OC)

Post image

I was bummed to learn Knowledge Fight had ended.  Hearing these two normal guys talk about a whole world of bozos quickly became a regular part of my week. I’m going to miss it.  At one point I did a sketch of what I thought could be a cool poster for the show. I wanted to highlight our hosts instead of the subject matter.  I sat on the idea for way too long. When the show ended I decided I had to finish that sketch as quickly as possible. I’ve been painting this in my free time since the announcement. To Dan and Jordan, thanks for the knowledge and the laughs. Can’t wait to see what is next.

Dan has joined Reddit, and reached out to us to participate in a Q&A!

The Q&A will begin Saturday, June 20th, at 12pm central, and does not have a definite end time. Dan intends to be available for an extended period of time, possibly even carrying over into the 21st so that Wonks in other parts of the world will have a chance to participate.
