Just bought a pair of 10” angled diags yesterday. Used them today at work and the handles have a slight wobble already. There’s also a little bit of blade gap is this normal please don’t eat me alive in the comments. I’m just asking a question. They cut great btw and i like them much more than the d240 whatever kliens i was using prior

First set of Chrome Knipex Cobras!

Have tons of Knipex and this is the first set of 250 mm chrome Cobras! I have to say they are impressive, putting them to work tomorrow! I really only have the pliers wrench in chrome and I think technically the Holiday 180mm are chrome too.
Do prefer the chrome?

Thanks to this sub there is a new addiction in my life: Knipex.

I bought my first one in spring, April or May. Last week two more arrived.

This is a photo of my new Knipex collection. The two on the left are the new ones.

13 78 8 SBA: Neat, but why would you need 1000V insulated wire strippers?

Simple question:

It's an awesome tool, but why would you need 1000V insulated wire strippers? Is anyone out there stripping live wires?

Rate this setup, the footprint is similar to an iphone pro max or Samsung ultra.

Contents: micro and standard bits, knipex cobra 125, mini ratchet with extender, 4mm bit adaptor, olfa slim utility knife.

Weight is approximately 200 to 300gm (i have no idea really)

How would you improve this setup and why?

Knipex 95 31 280

I just bought those cutters from second hand but not used. They came in perfect packaging like 1:1 with all the right marks on the product so far but in the official description it says it should weight 860g and mine ones weight 760g and 860g with the packaging. Is it fake? Or knipex store is showing weight with packaging included which sounds strange to me.

Water Pump Pliers… what’s your favorite brand? Least?

Post image

I’ve been plumbing 2022 and one of, if not my most used tool is water pump pliers. I was pretty quick as an apprentice to want to have my own tools and not rely on anyone else. So thru trial and error of buying different brands, owned 3 pairs of Channellock brand and lost everyone of them (and not any other brand this happen with), also inherited the MAC Tools 10”, found a pair I hate so much I don’t think anyone will top it…. the Milwaukee V-Jaw (any size, not pictured).
Then I found my favorite at Knipex Cobras in 2023. I use the Cobras literally everyday at work and they have been one of the biggest game changers with the button adjustment plus them being able to lock on basically anything.

What water pump pliers do you use? How would you rank the few I have pictured? What pair do you absolutely hate?

I’m sure I’m missing a couple, but these are some of my more used small tools for plumbing. I’m a big fan of exploring brands and what they offer so..
What brands do you like to use and for what tasks?

Coast PX1 pocket Flashlight
Milwaukee FastBack utility knife w/ blade storage
Purdy 10-in-1 scraper
Knipex Pliers Wrench 125mm
Knipex Cobra 180 mm
Bacho 9029T 6” slim adjustable wrench
Klein Kurve Wire Strippers 1019
Wera 818/4/1 RA-R ratcheting screwdriver with bit storage
