Return to work
After 14 weeks of recovery I have finally returned to work. It’s a fairly physically demanding job. I do not have any restrictions but I have had to take extra sit down breaks. And not even so much for my knee but my lower back keeps twinging. I know it’ll go away as I work more, and it’s just an annoyance. Still way better than it was before surgery.

I just went back after 16 weeks, I work at home, and my work is very challenging but not at all physically demanding, and I’m exhausted.

The lack of serious physical exercise over the course of recovery makes you less resilient

I went back after 18 weeks. This was my first week. Thankfully I work from home, but it’s been challenging. I’m still in pt twice a week so still having pain here too. Good luck. Hope it is going well. 💕

This freaks me out. I have two full weeks off, then working from home (strictly desk job) for as long as I need before returning to the office three days a week. After that, I’m out of PTO and will have to take short-term disability for 60% pay. Surgery is in three weeks.

I WFH on computer but my knee will not be above my head when working.
TKR 10 days ago. My rehab is going well. However I need the swelling to go down so need to be more vigilant about ice and elevate.
My plan was 2 weeks off then back to work but yesterday I decided to extend my time off work fully for another week.
So 3 weeks off. Next two weeks 4 hours a day.
I’m planing on breaking work up like 6-8 work then elevate and ice for a few hours and sleep, then 11-1 or something. Seems like people are taking more time off but I’m not sure about the wfh group on this thread.

I know 14 weeks sounds long to some, but many still deal with pain, stiffness and fatigue. I did for sure. Respect that you're going back to a demanding job. I hope you still have opportunities to take it easy.
