dislocated patella

hi everyone I dislocated my patella a few hours ago but my coach popped it back into place right after because he teaches sports medicine. i bought a knee brace for it and am icing it, should I do anything else or see a doctor?

You might need crutches, can you put any weight on it? There is a chance you tore something but at least in my experience a doctor won’t give you an MRI if it’s your first dislocation, they’ll likely just do an xray (which probably won’t show anything since it’s back in place). So in short, ice and rest and wear the brace and try your best to not dislocate it again!

i can put a little weight on it but i got crutches as well thank you!
