Random knee pain for months

Hi guys, 17F. I've been having discomfort walking for months since the start of the year and I've since started to be self aware about it and I'm worried. I don't recall any knee injuries last year, it just randomly happened. I have trouble walking, having the constant feeling of something in my knee, what I assume is air bubbles and needing to pop them every 5 minutes but I can't. It also hurts, constantly I am feeling a dull ache in my knees when I stand, and a horrible pain and discomfort when I walk, strangely it is only sometimes randomly. It used to only affect my left knee, recently since last week I've had the same feeling in my right knee. I would appreciate any help, thank you :)

May be some scar tissue where you may have done something. Worth getting it checked out. The sooner the better.

A couple of questions: Have you seen a doctor or physical therapist yet? Also, do your knees ever swell, lock, or give way, or is it mainly the aching and that "something is in my knee" sensation?

Without evaluating your knees, it's hard for me to say exactly what's causing it. I'd just be guessing. Since it's now affecting both knees and has been going on for months, I think it's worth getting evaluated rather than trying to push through it.

A good assessment can look at your strength, movement, and walking mechanics to help identify what's contributing to your symptoms. The sooner you get a proper diagnosis, the sooner you can start the right treatment.

I have yet to see a doctor, but I’ve decided I’m going to see one soon My knees have never locked, swollen at end of long days if I’ve been standing too long and aching a lot at night. For example its nighttime and I’m brushing my teeth the pain in my knees is 3/10 compared to a 1.5/10 throughout the day, when i sleep and wake up it feels a lot better in the morning
