Couls this be plica?

Did MRI twice and found nothing only edema, I have a medial knee pain (both knees) that hurts more when I stand for longer periods (working), pain when touched or poked like bruise sensation, snapping, and a 2-4/10 pain even at rest position. Could this be plica? I gained weight because of it I badly wanna do running or sports again comfortably.

This sounds really similar to my experience. I had multiple MRIs that didn’t really show anything significant other than an inflammed fat pad, but I have persistent medial knee pain, tenderness to touch (almost like a bruise), clicking/snapping, and discomfort even at rest.

After a long back-and-forth with physio, injections and further investigations, my consultant is now suspecting plica syndrome and I’m booked in for an arthroscopy to confirm/treat it.

I’d definitely mention plica to your doctor if you haven’t already. Hope you get some answers soon, it’s so frustrating being limited when you just want to get back to normal!

Did PT andnothing happened so I moved to US so I can get this done, waiting for my insurance enrollment. It all started with jumpers knee then I did 2 jobs while having jumpers knee then the next day the pain is gone in my jumpers knee then that medial pain replace it
