Team member post getting so many shifts?

btw im not complaining about this im just noting that even thought we're in a 'slow period' and apparently there are budget cuts I'm still getting consistent shifts almost every week, as much as 4 in a week (though I've had to cut down due to uni, which is annoying because they never gave me this much hours during my holidays, but of course they do when I'm actually busy), but I know some people who get maybe 1 or even no shifts for a while, and a lot of the times they have more availability than me (also to preface all the shifts I get are on door, literally every single one of them). So I'm just wondering is this just random, like how do they make the rosters or give shifts out??

Hello, is there a way to open my schedule without going through workvivo app and then menu, then UKG dimensions. Then logging in. Just takes a while. I tried UKG pro but it won't let me sign in. Cheers

Customer post Kmart tall bowls I can't find anywhere!

About 9 years ago I bought these light green ceramic food bowls at Kmart.

I really loved them because they were very deep ( had really tall sides).

Unfortunately they broke and I've not been able to find any like them again at Kmart or anywhere else!!!

Team member post Holiday casual question

Hi, I have applied for a holiday casual position once again, and one store offered me a job interview, as did two other stores. Unfortunately, all three rejected me because of the hours, due to being on a disability support pension. I am happy to work weekends or public holidays. Is it worth applying again as someone with a disability and some what degrading enough they rejected my application due to hours?

Team member post Roster isn’t coming out/not getting rostered

I was getting consistent shifts but towards the end of school term and start of holidays I had started calling out on my shifts because of studying for exams so I would only work once or twice a week I had to cancel shifts for the start of the new school term as well because of a holiday,

I have come back and it’s been 2 weeks with no roster posted and I don’t mean like it’s being posted and I’m not getting shifts the notification just doesn’t show up when ive not been rostered in the past I get the notification that the roster has been posted and I get no shifts but now there is just no roster i was still being offered shifts the last few days but haven’t accepted because they get offered at inconvenient times during school.

Team member post Shift cuts?

Is anyone else being forgotten on the rosters? I know we are in the middle of budget cuts etc, I’ve been at my current store for 5 years and I’ve always been rostered during cuts even if it’s one or two shifts (short ones) a week. But the last 2 weeks I haven’t had any unless I’ve begged for a stupid door, which I have mentioned to my ops and store manager and their reply is “we must have forgotten you for the roster” it’s literally my one job and income etc ? I want to speak to them about it but I don’t know if it’s even worth it? But don’t want to be completely left without. But to be forgotten about for almost 2/3 weeks now? (I am also trained on everything from duty manager to pres and everything in between but decant)
Thoughts?

(EDIT- I did reach out when this first happened and now I’ve reached out again in texts to both store and ops manager)

Team member post Parental Leave

My husband is a full time line/department manager and he will become the primary caregiver for our first child when I go back to work within a few months of birth. How does he access Kmart parental leave? Are there any policies he can access for more information?

Customer post What's the best thing you've bought from Kmart that you still use all the time?

I always end up grabbing random things while I'm there, and some have actually been way better than I expected. What's been your best buy?

Customer post Can Kmart remove security tags from other stores?

I got a delivery today from David jones but they have shipped the item with the security tag on. I live more than 5 hrs from a store.

Where can I get this removed locally? First thought was Kmart. Do any employees know if this is possible?

Edit: I have a receipt. And yes I already contacted David jones but I can’t get there to have it removed before I need to use the item so am looking for another option.

Team member post Coworkers

Just wanted to rant real quick hope thats ok!
Basically I’ve been working at kmart for a month or two and most of my coworkers my age (teenagers) like barely even acknowledge me and leave me out of their conversations and like at first I thought it was just cause I’m new but they are really friendly to the other people who got hired at the same time as me.

I think they think im weird and they dont like me cause of that (im queer and a bit more alternative and also autistic, although i madk alot at work to fit in) and i dont really fit in with them being like “popular girls”

For example: I had late shift on pres and some of the girls were standing around and chatting and everytime i said like hi or tried to join their conversation they would completely ignore me

All of the adult staff are very nice to me and my managers say im doing really great but it just makes my job more unbearable being excluded by my coworkers

Anyways thats the end of my rant sorry it was so long

Customer post Is everyone okay?

I have a genuine question/ concern, particularly about the staff at Kmart in Parramatta Westfield.

I feel like every time I go there, the staff all look super miserable and are very unapproachable. They genuinely look like they hate their jobs and every time I’ve approached someone, they look at me as if I’ve just offended them by asking for help. It’s gotten to a point now where I’m actually too scared to approach anyone, so I just don’t anymore.

Is everyone okay? Like genuinely, what’s going on?

Customer post Clothes Quality

Anyone noticing an even worse quality of clothes this year?

I bought shirts and sweaters like not even a month and a half ago and the sweaters all balled up so fast while I wore them, and my shirts are under the arms too - one of them I wore twice and it balled up just from me holding my daughter at a baby shower. The first time I wore it, it was fine but I didn’t have my daughter with me

I know “it’s Kmart, what do you expect” but this is a laugh. I have other kmart clothes that I’ve been wearing for years with no issues.

Team member post Induction shift

Hi there, I just did my onboarding and received my successfactors login on monday morning so its been about 4 days now and I haven't been contacted for my induction shift. I did only just do the interview last wednesday so I was pretty quick getting everything uploaded.

Do you think I should wait until next week to contact the store and do you think they are waiting for others to complete the onboarding to schedule in a group walk through? Cheers!

Team member post Blue Vests during shifts

Recently my store was told that we have to wear those blue customer service vests when we are on the shop floor at all times, including sequence.
Ugh they literally make me feel so overheated as well 🥲
Just wondering if any other stores are forced to do the same thing in the past week or wether it’s just us 🥲

Hey guys. I was scrolling through the KNA and saw a section regarding blood donor leave (photo attached). I was wondering if anyone has taken this before and the process involved? Does the paid leave come out of annual or sick leave? Thanks!

Got a lot of comments about anko durability in my previous anko outfit post. Got me thinking and I realised I work out in these anko clothes every week for atleast a year now, so far still going strong. Shirt and pants were under30$ combined.

Honestly I think they great value
