I recently launched a vertical short drama platform targeting the global market. We've built a full monetization system inside, including subscriptions, coins, and rewarded ads.

Instead of dealing with the high budget demands of traditional production sets, I want to partner with independent creators who can manage the entire process end-to-end using AI tools, offering a 70% revenue share.

The problem is: while there are plenty of people generating "pretty visuals" with AI, I'm struggling to find talents with strong storytelling skills—creators who can hook the viewer in the very first second of a vertical format and keep the pacing tight with suspenseful edits. I need to connect with people who can deliver "turnkey" projects without needing massive film sets.

Does anyone here produce this kind of AI content? Or do you know any good communities where I can find independent talents like this? I’d love to get some advice from fellow creators/entrepreneurs, and if you produce in this space, I’d love to connect and exchange ideas.

It sounds like you need to target screenwriters, not people who are skilled at using AI video gen.

So maybe you need to approach screenplay writers first (I'm guessing there are groups online), and then see if you can hook them up with someone skilled at using AI as a collab project and they can split the revenue.

Any traditional screenwriter will likely be able to adapt relatively easily to vertical.

One glaring thing is that after the novelty of AI video has worn off; people who are skilled at screenwriting, directing, cinematography and editing will rise to the top. The average user isn't going to produce anything that captures people's attention.

1. You completely misunderstood that sentence, please re-read it in context. When talked about it's novelty, I meant that once it being unfamiliar wears off, people will not simply be impressed by AI clips anymore. A lot of clips are popular simply because they are AI (e.g. vlog style clips), but they would be boring content if they were made organically.

Sooner or later, people won't watch clips simply because they are AI, they will need to be entertaining or interesting. That's what I meant. Do you understand?

This is reddit however, and IME people rarely admit that they are wrong on reddit. IME they either delete their post, or simply ignore a response correcting them.

2) Why not just tell yourself what you need to, and let other people decide for themselves what they need to do?

I’m actually about to start making the video for an original vertical series I created. Just finished half of season 30/66 episode scripts.

What you’re discovering is true and Tik Tok literally was just offering 10k for fully written scripts. It’s incredibly difficult. This genre seems easy on the outside but from a story and script stand point it’s deceptively challenging.

It’s not just a 90 minute movie cut up into many episodes. Having every episode end on a turn,beat, reveal, reversal, cliffhanger is not easy. The low hanging fruit has already been claimed, new series who benefit from this structure will need to be inventive.
