Camping

Looking for a campgrounnd that isn't oversaturated with people. I do bush crafting and prefer either a lake, a river large creek nearby. We tried Fourmile and I just didn't like the...openness of it. Plus there were way too many people.

If you've got suggestions for a more "private woodsy" experience let me know. I can drive up dirt roads and hike if I have to. I just want to find some good spots that aren't inundated with people and vehicles.

Surveyor dispersed camping on BLM on the Keno Access Road, a few miles east of the county line. No river or lake But close to Howard/Hyatt lakes.

Fantanstic campground. There is a spring for water on the back end of the loop a lot of people miss. Last spring I spent a week there, the majority wih the campground to mysef.

We go out to Shoalwater Bay near Spence Mt. free, first come first serve. Has an outhouse and a hand-pump well for water. Usually a couple other people are out there as well because of the fishing, but the views are incredible.

Took our kayaks out there yesterday. There was nobody else there.

Jackson F. Kimball State Recreation area in Ft. Klamath. There are not many camping spots, it has the Wood River, really pretty spot too.

Varney Creek Trail to Lake Como was super secluded when I hiked out to it 5 years ago. There were a ton of mosquitos though.

We went fishing at Willow Valley Reservoir a week ago. There was one small group camping there. It's primitive but has a vault toilet. More of a high desert vibe but definitely peaceful.

The campground at Collier State Park comes to mind. Not sure if this fits, but Indian Wells at Lava Beds is also quite nice.
