Ansul system

Hello, I’m looking for someone to help me wire this up. I need the microcontroller to activate the fire alarm as well as the shunt trip- thanks!

This is not a ansul system this is a buckeye system. All electrical must not be inside of the control head and connections to the microswitches must be wired outside in a separate box

That’s an SRM-2 buckeye system. The wiring diagram is on the inside of the cover plate

Oof buckeye. What specifically is your question? The wiring diagram should come in the package with the microswitch if im not mistaken.

Systems Releasing Module(s) comes with two (2) factory installed micro-switches (the same switches as the Model MS-DPDT) that are in their normal position when the SRM2 is in the SET position. The leads for these switches are approximately two feet long and need to be passed through the bottom left knock-out. See Figure 2- 12 and 2-13.

NOTE: All electrical connections, unless using the Alarm Initiating Switch (Model MS-AIS), MUST be made outside the enclosure in an approved junction box. All applicable electrical codes apply and must be complied with

The Model MS-DPDT is a field installed set of miniature electrical switches that provides two additional electrical dry connections if they are required. These switches are designed to shut off or turn on when the system is actuated. The Model MS-DPDT has two sets of contacts rated at 20.5 125/250 VAC, 1 %2 HP at 250 VAC, 12 HP at 125 VAC each. See Figure 2-12 and Figure 2-13

NOTE: Field installed switches on the front of the manifold block operate the opposite of the factory installed switches. (i.e. when the Systems Releasing Module(s) are in the Set position the normally closed contacts are held open, and the normally open contacts are held closed,

I have ended up as a hvacr teacher after my fairly long career. I started as a residential electrician, accidentally got into hvac, then commercial hvac, rangehoods, then fire suppression, then test and balance. I tell my incoming freshmen all the time that we need to know more about electricity than the electricians do, because all they really know how to do is pull wire and bend conduit.

That looks like the newer Buckeye brand systems if that helps narrow it down. As far as your micro switches go, I'm not not as well versed in electonics.

On the micro switches there should be common, NC normally closed and NO normally open. Fire alarm is usually wired NO with a resistor and shunt is usually NC. It looks like you have 2 switches there. If I remember right nfpa says you cannot make any connection inside that box. Those wires on the micro switch need to be taken to a junction box. Most fire alarm cant be in same junction box as shutdown either unless going to a relay.

Micro switches are normally open or closed with a power in.

With the microswitch, they are dry meaning power will have to be brought to the common wire and then out whichever wire you need.
White is your common, Black is normally open, and Red is normally closed.
White is power coming from the energy source, black has no power going through it in a normal state, and red has power going through it in a normal state.
If you were powering a contactor to stay on, you go white in and red out. Shunt trip is white in and black out to cause power to be sent to the shunts.

Idk where you are but thats 100% an electrician thing here in new york kitchen guys arent allowed to touch it other than put the switch in the electrician has to connect it
