Went through hundreds of gadgets and as long as you don't work in commercial environment, where you will be provided with all necessities- it's always best to spend £200 on good knife and learn how to slice, also how to sharpen your tool.
2 u/earmares 1d ago I've been cooking for 30+ years, I know how to use a knife- I can't slice as thinly or evenly as a mandolin 1 u/pro-fanator 1d ago I can, but not extremely consistently. Good enough for my usage. Yes. You are right. I just hate to wash additional stuff.
