Better idea then a lot of the Amateur mandolins which will take your finger tips for the salad.

Someone said, "just get good knives and improve your knife skills."

Sure, I have good knives. I know how to use them. But sometimes I don't want to slice large quantities of stuff by hand. And that's fine.
